I see this as a Alan Keyes type situation. The general election will not be pretty. I don't see why some here see a certain loss as something worth celebrating.

Well, there's one bright spot in today's news:

At least we now know KH will be able to spend fulltime in Florida for the coming campaign against Nelson, since the Calderon forces no longer need her help for counting votes over in Mexico!

They will say nice things, but not give money. Just like me.

Hope she wins!

W and Jeb need to now get behind her. There's no excuses, since W has supported Joe Lieberman, not a Republican and Lincoln Chaffee, who also is not a Republican.

Darn straight! They better NOW get behind her, and not just posing for the cameras type of support either. I mean they (the RNC) better seriously get behind her!

...IMO, the national party messed over Harris six years ago when they failed to defend her against the onslaught of criticism when she was just doing her job....

I've wondered if they did that on purpose so she WOULDN'T look like a party hack.

If she were a true hack and had REALLY swung the election, would'nt the party stand behind her? (If she were a Dem they would).

So, the party not standing behind her actually lends credibility to her, IMHO.

She doesn't need good luck. She still has the secret codes for the Diebold voting machines. She also has the secret road blocks that get set up in front of black voting stations.
Its in the bag.

Nelson can't put a thought together even if he had Kennedy's speech writers.

That man is dumber then a box of rocks

>>>I was opposed to her getting in this Senate race from the very beginning. She carries way too much negative baggage. <<<

What exactly is her negative baggage, other than the Demoncrats and the drive-by-media hates her? Just curious.

Primarily that she dared to defy the Republican Party leadership when they ordered her not to run.

Personally I hope she wins. There isnt any reason she cant. Its evident she can get out the vote. If republicans work hard they could take Nelson's seat.

Such lewdness here on FR, what with that very hot picture of KH on horseback. For shame!

I agree with you! When the Reppublican establishment goes after one of their own, it's time for a good hard look. It sounds like there is envy running rampant. Harris is beautiful and rich, and some people can't seem to handle it. I say support Harris over Nelson all day long.

"This campaign will go down in history as one of the most disastrous ever run in the United States"...

Well so much for that thought. The most disastrous campaign in the United States doesn't just up and win the Republican nomination for a U.S. Senate seat in one of our most populous states. This campaign's success level has already eclipsed that of hoardes of wannabe campaigns down through history!

I sent Katherine flowers in 2000 during the SoreLoserman debacle - she saved the nation then. I'll gladly send her another round when she wins the Senate seat!

Intresting to note all the primary voters for Republican Governor came up to over 750,000. The Democrats Primary voters are about 560,000. That would suggest the Democrat is in trouble in Florida
