You should listened to Rush on what caused this shift.

That's funny. Everybody from Rush to the MSM sees a political speech. Let's see what Savage thinks later.

What do you mean he is good at "lowering the bar"??

It is something he has discussed himself. Politics is a game of managed expectations. When you set the bar high (John Kerry is a master at this idiocy) and promise to do everything from winning the war in a day to curing Superman, you set the bar so high you are going to fail. Everyone gets mad at you and you loose.

However, if you are quiet and allow the poll numbers to drop, mispronounce nuclear so people think you're an illiterate boob...the expectations are that you are completely incompetent. That allows you to leave people pleasantly surprised and thrilled with your accomplishments.

It basically comes down to a game of never promise too much. Promise little and deliver more. And the President is an absolute genius at this. Breathtakingly good. It is actually a strategy that I have started to use professionally with terrific results.

No UBL is NOT DEAD. Ask the boots on the ground on the hunt 24/7 for him. They've found lots of evidence, he's alive and very healthy.

I'm quite familiar with what a declaration of war is. But thanks for the misguided condescension.

And yeah, I really think you did miss out on that, and a whole lot more.

I saw Lugar and Sessions in the audience...maybe they will get this going.

Senator Sessions is one of only three that I would trust with this! Love that guy!

"It's about selling the war in spite of the activities of the antiwar activists. Without the Bill being passed by Congress, and what are the odds? none of this amounts to anything but political rhetoric." Wars ARE political, or didn't you know that (I suspect from your posts in this thread that there is much you don't know). A successful outcome of this or any war in a democracy is incumbent on the publics support. Since the left has bee working hand in hand with the terrorists to destroy this resolve and since our very existence depends on our winning, the president is doing precisely what he should be doing.

By framing the request for legislation as he has done he has put the left squarely in the spotlight. They will either give him what he wants which strengthens our hand immeasurably in dealing with the savages, in which case America wins. Or, they will refuse to give him what he wants and by doing so re enforce the belief they fear more for the rights of terrorists then they do the safety of our citizens. Let me be more graphic in the hopes you may understand what the president has done. He has put the Democrats in the middle of a lake filled with gasoline and has tossed them a ball of fire. They can either catch the ball (pass the legislation) and get burned by it from the moonbat left, or they can drop it into the lake of gasoline(block the legislation) where the resulting explosion of negative public opinion will blow them to smithereens.

Karl Rove has bent the libs over and shafted them with the same pole with which they fly their anti American, pro terrorist flag.

Thanks!

Too bad he wasnt one of them being transferred.

What a great speech by The President.

If I was wearing a military uniform I would be very grateful
he is making their rules of engagement more clear too.

Get back to me when you understand what a United States Congressional Declaration of War is.
Believe me I did not miss that.

War was declared on us by the terrorists .. But the Congress never "officially" declared war .. the Dems did not want to give the President the full powers

Before the entry into Iraq I suggested a Declaration of War should be forthcoming. That would have eliminated most of the political problems now. Not that it matters now, but for future reference they really ought to consider a Declaration of War any time they go to war just in case the war goes on long enough to affect an election cycle.

Yes, I agree. Snow has been terrific. And the elite know it. My guess is so do Rove and the President.
