I count the victims in the hundreds of millions.

Oh really? Where are they buried?

You know, I'm a pretty libertarian guy, and I'm sure we could have found a lot of common ground if you weren't a raving nutter. What have you put on the line for your beliefs? If we live in a Nazi state because of drug and alcohol laws, why aren't you leading a revolution?

I am done here. Call it a victory if you wish, but I see no reason to waste my time with the libertarian equivalent of a teenager who says "This is the worst thing that has ever happened" when her boyfriend breaks up with her. People like you are the reason libertarianism remains the "also ran" of American politics.

I do not see margaret sanger as an evil woman. I just simply see her as a woman who cared about the lives of other woman and their children.

Did you read the quote in post 12 by Free ThinkerNY? Here it is again:

"The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." — Margaret Sanger, letter to Clarence Gamble, Dec. 10,1939

Did you know that she once had Ernst Rudin, the Nazi Minister of Racial Hygiene, write a cover story for her magazine? Did you know one of the reasons her organization changed its name to PP was because post-Holocaust they needed a PR break with their old image?

Sanger wanted to exterminate "undesirables" by keeping them from breeding. She was a Nazi-sympathizer. These are facts.

Not all of them are dead yet, and there are more being born every day.

why aren't you leading a revolution?

How do you know that I'm not?

People like you are the reason libertarianism remains the "also ran" of American politics.

That remains to be seen.

Not all of them are dead yet, and there are more being born every day.

Call me when you can show me the ovens or the mountains of skulls.

BTW, are you pro-choice? Just curious.

How do you know that I'm not?

Are you in favor of an armed uprising against the government of the United states? That's what I'm talking about, and that's what would be morally required of any person who believes what you have said you believe about this government.

That remains to be seen.

Sure. Hey, why don't you have the next Libertarian presidential candidate put the following in the platform: "Carrie Nation is just like Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot, and the current U.S. government is the equivalent of the Nazis, the Soviets and the Khmer Rouge. Picking folks up for drug possession is the same as putting every Jew in Europe in cattlecars. Oh, and attention Blacks: We firmly believe that paying income tax is not just a bad idea, but is equivalent to slavery."

See how far that gets you.

Of course, I do not consider you ideas to be libertarian, I consider them to be idiotarian, so I guess I really can't suggest they go in the libertarian platform anymore than I can suggest PETA open a slaughterhouse.

You may have the last word. I'm sure I will laugh.

That's at least five personal attacks in a row.

You done yet, or am I going to have to FedEx you a towel to wipe the spittle from your computer screen?

After considerable thought, I apologize for that last comment and wish to answer your questions.

BTW, are you pro-choice? Just curious.

I'm male, so it's irrelevant.

For the record, I'm pro-life for myself and pro-choice for everybody else.

This fixation some people have regarding other people's reproductive organs has always been a puzzlement to me. It borders on some kind of perversion, and I'm uncomfortable even talking about it.

Are you in favor of an armed uprising against the government of the United states?

No, I am not.

However, if we don't do something to at least try to restore our basic freedoms, my kids and grandkids may be.

I would prefer to not saddle them with that.

I do not consider you ideas to be libertarian, I consider them to be idiotarian...

Thomas Jefferson and the rest of our Founding Fathers would be proud.

Pyro, see post 46. Can you find your photo thread from the "March for Women's Lives" so we can educate this individual on who has the fixation on genitalia?

I'm male, so it's irrelevant.

That's a leftist lie you've bought into there. Either abortion is an excision of tissue or it's the killing of a small child. In the first case, government (and all women except the one getting the procedure) has no more interest than it has in an appendectomy. In the second case, government (and all men and all women) have as much of a duty to stop it as they would have to stop a neighbor from murdering his six year old.

This fixation some people have regarding other people's reproductive organs has always been a puzzlement to me. It borders on some kind of perversion, and I'm uncomfortable even talking about it.

People who oppose abortion have no interest regarding other people's reproductive organs. They have an interest in ensuring that human beings are not pulled limb from limb and thrown in the trash. The idea that any of us care about controlling other people's bedroom activities is leftist propaganda and it does not speak well of your intellect that you've bought it so easily.

BTW, if you're pro-life for yourself and pro-choice for everyone else, you have pretty much the same position on this issue that Margaret Sanger did. She also thought, by the way, that those who opposed her work did so out of an obsession with the sex lives of others.

No, I am not. However, if we don't do something to at least try to restore our basic freedoms, my kids and grandkids may be.

You've compared this government's antidrug activities to Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot, but you're not in favor of a revolution? That doesn't follow, does it? Either they're not Hitler, or you don't really care that much about freedom. I'm 100% sure it's the former.

Thomas Jefferson and the rest of our Founding Fathers would be proud.

Apparently, you continue to believe that not equating some bad government policies with wiping out tens of millions of people is the same as being in favor of those policies. It's not. I sincerely doubt that JT and the Founders would have thought that the income tax is the same as trying to kill every Jew in Europe.

Being lectured on the merits of freedom by a statist is an excellent way for me to start a Sunday morning.

Aw...isn't that cute! You called me a statist! Why don't you call me the king of England while you're at it; it would be about as accurate. You can't just call someone a statist because they aren't on board with your "[fill in name here] is Hitler" spew.

Do you plan to respond to my "lecture," orare you just engaging in the "personal attacks" that you were decrying just a few posts ago? Or maybe you're just crying uncle...

Do you plan to respond to my "lecture,"

Once.

You may recall that my initial post was one attacking Margaret Sanger. You hijacked it into something else.

That's a leftist lie you've bought into there.

No, it is not.

It is pragmatism.

If you want to test it, go out there and find the ideal mate.

Marry her, if you want to, it's irrelevant in any case. Impregnate her and find out what your rights are.

If you want the child and she doesn't, she wins. If you don't want the child and she does, she wins. Consequently, since I am male, it is irrelevant.

People who oppose abortion have no interest regarding other people's reproductive organs.

That is a one-sentence contradiction.

You've compared this government's antidrug activities to Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot

I yield to that bastion of capitalism, freedom, and conservatism, Dr. Milton Friedman:

The Drug War as a Socialist Enterprise

you continue to believe that not equating some bad government policies with wiping out tens of millions of people is the same as being in favor of those policies.

Death by a thousand cuts is still death. Those that confiscate the fruits of your labor by force are still thieves. We all have a limited time on this earth. Expropriation of the results of the sweat of our brows is still the equivalent.

I sincerely doubt that JT and the Founders would have thought that the income tax is the same as trying to kill every Jew in Europe.

Who is JT? Whoever he is, he is wrong.

I mistyped. I meant TJ, not JT, and TJ is Thomas Jefferson. As for this...

Consequently, since I am male, it is irrelevant.

Only in the sense that the 9/11 attacks were only relevant to people who were in the WTC and Pentagon. Our society has allowed well over 40 million of these procedures. Whether it is legal or not affects us all.
