Public Opinion Strategies conducted this poll of 500 registered voters. Released today. This firm polls almost exclusively for Republican candidates, but this poll was done for the Lieberman campaign (you may remember the news stories last week about Lieberman hiring a Republican pollster). I don't know how accurate this is, being a campaign poll.

Connecticut trendlines:
August 21 Rasmussen, Lieberman up 2
August 21 ARG,         Lieberman up 2
August 14 Quinnipiac, Lieberman up 12

No that cannot be right.

America is moving decisively to the left.

Men like Ned Lamont represent the new consensus on Iraq and American policy.

This must be some sort of terrible mistake.

If I were in Connecticut and the Republican had no shot at winning, I'd vote for Lieberman.

Let's hope that Leiberman will retain his new found (I) once he wins and returns to the Senate.

I think that has to be the best part about this whole MoveOn.org "victory". One less (D) filling a Senate seat!

A Lamont humiliation would tell all the rat nitwits to go take a flying leap!

And it would be a finger in the eye of the New York Times, too!

It looks like Soros is going to have to come off some big bucks if he wants that Connecticut seat.

I hope this doesn't prevent Lieberman's loyal friends from showing up to campaign against him. I'd like that to be fresh on his mind when he heads back to Washington with a new term.

Hey! Wait a minute! According to the dems, we all want to be surrender-monkey, appeaser losers like Ned Lament.

Lower gas prices.
Wait for the spin that Bush is in collusion with oil companies to have lower gasoline prices in order to sway voters for the upcoming elections.

Jack Kemp was on some FOX show recently announcing that he called Joe and said he would campaign for or against him, whichever would help Joe the most. Joe will happily take Kemp's help and Kemp would like to see at least one rational Dem stay in office. Interesting that two losing VP candidates are working together.

Today's speech has me thinking that Democratic Hawks, let alone Republicans, may not be such an endangered species after all.

The likes of John Kerry lamenting the fruitful CIA coercive interrogations ("a sad chapter") at his peril.

So much for the Dems being in tune with the general public's views.
