I would also bet Tony put that "stuck on stupid" quote in there. On his radio program, he loved that line! Would use the sound bite all the time!

Wonder why those countries who were "letting" us use the facilities are now demanding that we tell them where they are?
Don't let the facts get in the way of your opinion, though.

You seem to be missing the point.
Do you think it would be a good idea for the media to out those prisons and prisoners before the CIA finished questioning the jihadists?
Do you think it would be a good idea for public pressure from the malignant leftists to perhaps force the administration to suspend the program before all the information that be obtained from the jihadists?

Wonder why those countries who were "letting" us use the facilities are now demanding that we tell them where they are? Come on. You can't be this dense.
#1. This is quite possibly a matter of those countries pretending they don't know about the programs in order to protect whatever interests they think they need to protect.
#2. Of those countries that have been named aren't actually the countries where the questioning has taken place.
#3. I don't know where that questioning has actually taken place and I seriously doubt you know either.

It seems the only one letting the facts get in the way is YOU, lugsoul.
It's all pretty obvious to anyone with eyes open and brain functioning...........or with any kind of understanding of the Constitutional role of the President.
You missed too many civics classes, did you?

What in the heck are you talking about? WHO has demanded that we reveal the sites? No sites were revealed!

If he was educated in most public schools and reads the NYTimes or watches CNN for information, he can be 'this dense.'

Please point to the part of the Constitution that says the President is the exclusive judge of what is harmful to US interests and that his statement of what is harmful - or what is not - is determinative of that question.
Truly odd, how the conventional wisdom around here has morphed to decress that anyone who isn't a sycophant is an idiot.

Back up, calm down. I said a demand was made that the sites be revealed. Not that they were revealed.
Good god, do people get apoplectic whenever someone posts something that isn't merely reading from talking points.

That, IMO, is what the Dems fear most and why they fight so hard against success in Iraq.
The Democrat Party will not survive a full accounting of all those complicit in Saddam's reign of terror. Hmmmmmm, something else has just occurred to me.
Of course they want to win elections, but this abject insistence that they will take back Congress, their repeated "plans" for this, that and everything else, the constant ENEMEDIA focus on the MINORITY party and referring to Peloxi as Madam Speaker et al to convince the American people that they have already won, has had me stymied.
With your comment above it all makes sense. They are literally fighting for their lives!!!
You are right.....there is NO way they survive the light of truth!

So far the only thing pointing out that you are an 'idiot' is your own words.
(LOVE the 'sycophant' line though. SO original).
The President has the right to declassify information. I believe that was what the conversation was about.
The President is on the inside of intel and actually knows what will and what will not damage the security of this country, so when he reveals information it is already declassified and not risking our safety, or the safety of those doing the interrogations.
CIA leakers and the NYTimes have the goal of damaging the security of this country, and risking the lives of those defending us.
You can't see the difference?

Congress? Which leaks live a sieve.
I'm delighted by this turn of events and if Clinton or any other president was detaining jihadists in a secret prison to interrogate them and find out where the next attack was being planned, I'd support it.
And so will most Americans.

No, not merely about the declassification of information, but the decree of what is harmful and/or treasonous. But nice effort to limit the scope.
But, based on your analysis, if the President says it, by definition the information isn't harmful. The President can't (gasp) be wrong.
It may not be original, but it certainly fits here.
