Dems Send Threatening Letter to ABC - and misspell word in second paragraph. (Idiots)
Posted on 09/07/2006 8:48:55 PM PDT by MindBender26
Senate Dems sent letter to ABC threatening to revoke their broadcasting licenses if ABC does not pull the 9/11 Docudrama that tells the critical truth as to how Clinton was very responsible for 9/11 incidents.
Will not go into the threat, as that is well covered in other posts.
Will point out however, that the stupid Dems even misspelled a word in the second paragraph of their letter to ABC!
"The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest. Nowhere is this public interest obligation more apparent than in the duty of broadcasters to serve the civic needs of a democracy by promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events."
Principle, meaning "a basic generalization that is accepted as true and that can be used as a basis for reasoning or conduct" should actually be Principal "the chief reason, most important element"

Presumably, they had no problem with Rathergate, because the story MUST have been true?

I notice that they didn't object to the smear jobs of President Bush, Ronald Reagan, Clarence Thomas, and other conservatives by liberals. In fact, they had Michael Moore sitting in a seat of honor at their national convention. Pretty thin skinned. They can dish it out but they can't take it.

Ever since I wasted several hours of my life watching that utter piece of garbage "Amerika" back in 1987 I swore I would never watch another ABC miniseries. Networks have a defective gene that prevents them from telling the truth about anything.

The Dems spent more time denouncing this film than trying to capture terrorists during the bastard's eight years.

Well, as for the "principle/principal" - truth be told, we here on FR are frequently guilty of the same. One would think, though, that these mental defecatives had an idukated person, a lawyer even, compose their missive.

LMAO! The Drive By Media acts as an DNC fax machine every day of the year! What has the Democrats up in arms is that ABC is going to present the OTHER side of the story. That can't be allowed so the Democrats want to make sure ABC doesn't even broadcast a hint of a conservative viewpoint. So much for "fair and balanced." And these are the people who bash FOX for reporting both sides of the story. They are consistent in wanting at all costs, to protect their media monopoly.

... promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events The dems opened up a huge can of worms that will backfire if our side will take advantage of it. The dems lie and misrepresent events which are factual and for which it can be proved that they are lying. They know they are outright lying but do it anyway. Its called "the Big Lie". They learned it from the commies.
So now they want the FCC to forbid people from lying on the public airwaves? What about politicians? For the dems to be yapping about accuracy is incredibly funny. And what makes it funnier is this piece is based on a bipartian commission and IS accurate.
To: MindBender26
The message is, run the show and our FCC (when we get elected) will mess with you.
Not to mention the IRS, the Department of State (every time you want to film abroad), the Department of Commerce (every time you want to sell films overseas) and the FTC every time you want to sell any shares, to mention only a few leetle problems the entire company, and the executives, are facing if they find the b*lls to go through with the showing.

Hey, I just thought of something we may be missing! The message to the public is, "See how powerful Hitlery and her little pals are? Elect Hitlery and she is so big and powerful she can stop ANYTHING from happening"

Just so this little tidbit doesn't get lost in the escalating debate - and this was something Limbaugh said several times on his show today - Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and four teams of suicide hijackers are the ones responsible for 9/11 - not Clinton, not Bush, not the security screeners at Logan Airport.
