Bonafide American citizens should try
this crime and see what happens!
"We're asking them to go to our investigative unit so we can look into the matter, and we're not hearing back from them..."
WHY weren't their butts immediately shipped
back across the border?
Who will put the list in an In-box that hasn't been used in years. Then they can claim, "We're actively working the list."
Buncha crap.
Memo to the ACLU and Criminal Alien lovers: Shame on you for letting this blatantly illegal procedure become law!
"WHY weren't their butts immediately shipped
back across the border?"
THAT'S a very good question. Too much enforcement at one time I guess. It might make then tired or upset some "advocates".
I would be curious to know how many of these immigrant interest groups are abetting this activity and pocketing kickbacks.
Snicker...wonder how this genius figured this out.
mismo viejo mierda.
"Today we pass fake documents, tomorrow we vote!!!!
"WHY weren't their butts immediately shipped back across the border?"
Predictable responses:
a. DMV is not equipped or empowered to make arrests
b. This is a federal enforcement issue
c. We aren't funded to do so
d. The State of Colorado cannot be expected to expend scarce resources on what is considered a "petty crime"
e. All of the above
f. The "officials" to whom these documents were presented probably include a goodly number of folks from the same ethnic background as these "illegals", who warned them to skedaddle.
g. all of the above
h. "It no my yob, Esse"
i. If we shipped them home immediately, then what would we do with all of these "investigators" we've hired? They'd be sitting in the DMV with nothing to do.
j. If we got further involved it would mean we would have to actually start looking for the people who are supplying the documents, and we dont have the funds for that and the local cops are too busy writing speeding/parking tickets so that the city/state doesn't have to appear to be raising taxes.
k. all of the above
l. no one ordered me to.
m. bureaucratic inertia
n. Do you know how much paperwork that involves?
o. If we ship them home from DMV, they'll stay away and all these other nice folks who work here won't have anything to do, meaning some of them would be laid off.
p. I'm supposed to report illegal aliens?
q. All of the Above
r. Hey! If I started reporting them who would fix my roof, mow my lawn and clean my pool for less-than-market rates?
s. She's my girlfriend
t. We don't have enough people here who speak Spanish to actually ensure these are illegals
u. I thought we were supposed to be on the lookout for Arabs?
v. Duuuuuuhhhhhh
w. This is a government office; we're supposed to be stupid. It was a requirement for the job.
x. All of the above
y. Union rules prohibit me from acting in a manner consistent with having half a brain.
and finally....
z. All of the above
Good question for President Bush to answer -- but he won't.
Damn! This is criminal and no one wants to take charge of arresting these criminals. If anything, the US should send these ciminals to GITMO and throw the keys to the cells away. Damn! I'm angry.
Well, duh.
More than 1,700 illegal immigrants have been caught attempting to pass fake documents at state driver's licenses offices in the first month after a tough immigration law went into effect, according to a state official.
Time to Freep Congress
As you know our spineless Congress is getting ready to take a break WITHOUT ANY ACTION ON THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT PROBLEM!!!
There are many things that could be done.
Granting citizen status to children born here is a big incentive for illegal crossing.
A national database for use by school districts, hospitals and law enforcement to file claims for costs associated with illegal immigration to recover some of the financial costs DEDUCTED FROM US aid to Mexico would not be costly and finally give the Mexican government some incentives to help with the problem as well.
Please take the time to contact your congress critter on this huge problem before it is too late.

Great list.
It's okay. The President says, "They're here to drive cars Americans won't drive."
17,000 is just the tip of the iceberg.
The true figure on how many illegal aliens are using illegal documents and fake social security numbers across the country is almost certainly in the tens of millions.
Nonesnse. According to the rest of the article, none of those 1700 have been "caught". If they were, they would have been (should have been) charged with a crime, which they were not...
Up until last year, illegals in my state could just buy their driver's licenses from the nice folks at the Dept. Of Motor Vehicles. Never did hear how those raids turned out. Hopefully, some of those nice folks are now in prison.
