Avoiding facts is a hallmark of liberalism. If facts are given they are skewed and connected to vitriol. Moral arguments are actually ad hominem attacks and morals, in general, are depreciated.

This is a well written and cogent polemic and we should all given Kevin our thanks. He is smarter than Rich and a better writer than Dowd.

This is actually great news in the long run....the Dems unwillingness & inability to constructively participate in the greatest debate of the new century effectively ends their political leadership...probably permanently...probably even as a functional party. Watching the Dems atrophy under Clinton leadership through the '90's, I nevere figured he'd completely kill it off...but he & she finally have. The treasonous and cowardly among us are labeled and identified.

Wish that were true but I'm afraid it's not. While I don't necessarily buy into the conventional wisdom of the "experts" that seem to be in the spotlight 24 x7 that the Republicans are doomed and will be swept out of power in both the House and Senate, that there is a possibility of it happening would indicate they're not dead yet.

And in that ignorance they are also blinded to the direct overtures that the enemy continues to make - recently even Mr. Ahmadinejhad saying directly, "bow down to Islam, or you will be forced to."

...that line between "ignorance" and stupidity has been crossed a long time ago. When considering lies being told, and the actions taken over the last three years, the stupidity factor has been past. We now are faced with "subversion", and the ultimate calamity it's actions and the refusal of government politico's to take serious responsibility to correct, can bring.

The Dems believe they can take the House and Senate. I do not believe they can or will...the Dems are famous for believing their own (in this case early) polling data. They believe if they can demonize GWB sufficiently, they will win. They won't.

"Where are the great voices from the Democratic Party ready to lead the charge to make America safe from the dangers of open borders? Where are the vibrant leaders in liberal America who are ready to deal justice to those who seek to kill Americans? Where are those on the ideological left who have any clue as to how to aggressively stop terror threats from re-emerging?"

I'd also ask: so where are the conservatives?

The Democratic party is a political party. It's objective is to elect people to political office. In that sense, it's philosophically neutral. It's the leadership and the folks who run for office who determine the philosophical direction. Good, bad, or indifferent.

Conservatives abandoned the Democratic party in droves during the 1980's and 1990's. Something that delighted the radical leftist moonbats to no end. Because they filled the vacuum that was left in the wake.

It might be counterintuitive. It might be upsetting. But at this point in time, the opportunity for conservatives to really make a difference is within the Democratic party.

In all seriousness, you might have that discussion with Zell Miller........and get back to us about it if you do.

As I said to an earlier post, I don't think the country is suicidal enough, economically or security wise to hand the reigns of power to socialist appeasers either. But, even with no real plan other than to blame the US and bash Bush for everything, including the wheather, it's pretty damn depressing that they are running neck and neck or leading in many polls. Yes, yes I know that polls are not the deciding factor in an election but let's face it if the socialists were 15 points back where they should be the pollsters would have a real hard time spinning their magic.

That they are within striking distance of taking over a local dog warden post is reason to fear for our future.

The Democrat party is dead.

It's only moving by simple inertia.

John Kerry is the poster child for liberal sissies. His Viet Nam service was not one of personal sacrifice and leadership but a carefully organized plan to get a little personal glory and get out and then use this moment of glory to vilify those with whom he served in a massive lie before Congress. His approach to terrorism was not to use US strength to defeat a foe, but to relegate our national defense to a "police matter" and depending on the UN and European allies to keep us safe. Kerry is quick to criticize and say he could do things better but has no plan or even a solid position on which to stand.

The liberal sissies cause us to in the name of political correctness to strip search little old ladies boarding planes, but not target those who are most likely to be terrorists. Liberal sissies invited an intolerant Muslim cleric who has persecuted Christians in Iran to speak at the National Cathedral on religious tolerance.

God save us if these liberal sissies get in charge.

Let me remind you of a few polls...back in the day. Governor Barnes was up by 15 points according to the polls in 2004 just before the election (Georgia). Sonny Perdue beat him by about 10 points. Dems believe these polls to their detriment. The polls ask basically if you are happy with the Pres and congress. I am not pleased with either at times, but you can bet your life I won't be pulling the Dem lever- nor will I stay home.

No offense, but I think you are completely wrong. No conservative can vote for any Dem candidate (except Lieberman and only because he is better than Lamont and the Repub can't win there.

Notice also that a solemn memorial for thousands of innocents lost that day is now all about them, instead of the actual victims.

The liberal mindset is indeed "pathetic, cowardly, and sickening".

What is even more "pathetic, cowardly, and sickening" is the fact that they often get away with their endless litany of America-hating lies, as well as succeed in their efforts to cover the treasonous tracks that they have made.

"...no holds barred look at mistakes that were made in both the Clinton and Bush administrations...it will trace events that led up to the horrific event we commemorate this week.

...It sounds to me to be very faithful to the original Report."

Of course, the original report was already slanted to avoid placing blame on the clinton administration.
