This is a sign of bad assimilation.

Not necessarily. A lot of completely-assimilated groups celebrate ties with the old country/ethnicity, like Columbus Day, St. Patrick's day, etc. I don't know if that's what's at work here, since I don't know much about their celebration, but I wouldn't automatically condemn it as a sign of them not assimilating.

I urge all celebrants of Mexican heritage to expand your horizons and try other Tequilas in the name of refined culture and good taste.

Tres Generaciones is my favorite. Cazadores will do in a pinch. :-)

Now you're talking! I used to get Tres Generaciones in a recycled gallon milk jug from Mexican restaurant workers who visited the distillery each time they returned home. I guess this was a bonus opportunity for visitors.

Yeah, and that really cranks my wagger. Living in Texas, I have a lot of Mexican friends. These clowns from La Raza really p!ss me off, because we get along very well with each other until the racists start all the separatist, join the south back to Mexico crap. Most of my friends LIKE Texas and the US, and that's why they live here.

Nice connections! A friend at work recommended it to me almost 20 years ago. I haven't found any I like better, and I've tried a lot! lol. Even the much heralded Patron can't hold a candle to Tres Generaciones.

About 70 deputies, were monitoring the parade, according to Healey,

They should have been making arrests, instead of monitoring!!!!!

AlQaeda will never have enough power to take down America.

But the invasion by hoardes of third world semi-socialists from south of the border, and elsewhere in the world WILL BE THE DEATH kneld of our way of life.

After all, it is no coincidence that life in America in 2006 has become so harsh, so violent, so multi-cultural and crazy when compared to the American way of life I recall as a youngster (late 50s and early 60s).

I refuse to have my kids and grandkids grow up in an America where they have to fight for the right to be proud of their Eurocentric and Judeo-Christian way of life, much less than the right to speak English.

If we do not stop this illegal (and LEGAL) invasion from third world cultures, I fear America has less than 80 years before the dark powers-that-be will be strong enough to kill the America we know from inside.

Just look at the political situation in California today. There are groups who legally succeed in getting a 50 year old cross on a hill near San Diego declared illegal.

Conservatives have nary a chance for success.

WAke up, folks. (and I hate to think of myself as an alarmist)
