Taliban Gets Bury Lucky [Contracting funerals in world of PC]
NYPost/Conservative Voice ^ | Sept 13, 2006

September 13, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - Taliban terror leaders who had gathered for a funeral - and were secretly being watched by an eye-in-the-sky American drone - dodged assassination because U.S. rules of engagement bar attacks in cemeteries, according to a shocking report.

U.S. intelligence officers in Afghanistan are still fuming about the recent lost opportunity for an easy kill of Taliban honchos packed in tight formation for the burial, NBC News reported.

Like my tagline says, we need only one real man to risk his career by doing what needs to be done. At worst, he can stir up a public outcry over this BS and get another career as a talk show host like Ollie North.

Government employees (Valarie Plame/Joe Wilson/Alger Hiss) can politic with impunity and get away with anything as long as they advance the agenda of the left. I'm not asking any bureaucrat on our side to politic-- just to risk their career to do what's right.

This reminds me of when Clinton wouldn't fight during Ramadam because it is a Muslim Holy Month.

The BIG question is: Why after "conservatives" have been in control for 6 years, are we still fighting a PC war?

" we need only one real man to risk his career by doing what needs to be done"

My exact reaction when I heard this story on FoxNews. Damn the PC and full-speed ahead.

I suspect this story is misreported at best. More likely it's complete bunk.

I think we need to take this story with a grain of salt. The timing is very suspicious.

This is the kind of cra$ you get when you let a weak-kneed, PC-politician decide the rules of war...and this IS war. When are these idiots going to learn that?

Hey Tomguy, stuff like this is what separates us from barbarians....we have plenty of opportunities to kill them away from a cemetery.

Flame suit on.

It was reported on Fox and Friends, and that means it's true. I'm sure they fact-checked the story. (putting on flame suit)

They don't respect our religious observances, we shouldn't respect theirs during wartime.

The level of compassion exercised by the US Military should be limited to letting the enemy bury their dead before you kill them. One less body to bury.

let him know that you have no idea where he is, let him go out in public with confidence - right into your sights.

em>This will be a key scene in the movie commemorating the path to the next terrorist attack.

Couric will use it first. She and CBS News will use it as proof positive Lara Logan got it right in her 5 September "exclusive": Among A Resurgent Taliban

No comparison will be made concerning how the Taliban does murder or treats funeral services: Bombing At Afghan Governor's Funeral

A suicide attacker on Monday detonated a bomb in eastern Afghanistan where hundreds, including Cabinet ministers, gathered for the funeral of a provincial governor who died in a suicide blast the previous day, police and witnesses said. At least five people were killed and 30 wounded.

I am not saying that all elements are false, but you have to remember that the Penatgon, like the CIA, is not all GOPers.

WTH?

I say old chap, it wouldn't be sporting, killing the enemy while he's in formation.

This is the kind of crap that gives them hope. It enforces their idea we are not committed to winning this struggle.

stuff like this is what separates us from barbarians

The Romans used to say similar things. There is no Roman Empire any more. Who defeated them? Barbarians.

We can stay so aloof of reality that it can destroy us.

Any chance that a number of these Talis were followed after this funeral? Do we have a line on a hiding place because of not hitting the fire button? Can more Taliban be killed because of holding off on this opportunity?

All questions I'd like answered before I get overly upset about it.

If they come back no, THEN I'll be pissed.

LOL.

It's pretty late in the game (2nd half of 2nd term) to be suggesting that Bush and Rumsfeld have had no ability to modify the RoE to their satisfaction.

You are so right...we are at war, and part of war strategery should be misleading info, or outright lies to confound the enemy. We would hope that this is the case here. We would further hope that someone in our government has some balls, no P.C. and is doing a job to kill the enemy.

Maybe next time the talbos will be confident that we will not strike a cemetary, more, and higher level people will congregate there and it will become their permanent home due to a well placed hellfire missile.

We can hope...(can't we?)
