I receive e-copies of articles from several conservative pundits up here & would estimate that better than 9 times out of ten their working titles are both catchier & far more on point than the ones their brain dead editors come up with.

Apparently, along the lines of 'those who can't - teach', many of those who can't write - edit.

Thanks for the ping. You probably know this but you can give an article more visibility by posting to one of the sidebars - Editorial, Extended, Front Page, etc. It can be done when you click on the "Topics" menu. (In nearly 1,100 threads started, I have never posted in the "Breaking" sidebar!)

"In nearly 1,100 threads started, I have never posted in the "Breaking" sidebar!"

In less than half that number or roughly 500 threads over 5 years this week, I've had "Breaking" twice:
Initially when the Air France plane went off a runway at Toronto's International Airport with miraculously no loss of life last year & again just a few months ago when the Islamofascist terror cell was busted also right in my immediate area.

The problem with the 2nd Warren article is that, while edifying, it pretty much defies any legitimate sidebar classification.
Although, given the honor in Canadian conservative circles of being so publicly lauded in the Western Standard, it was likely "Breaking News" at my friend Rory Leishman's home when it first appeared - LOL!

Thank you for the introduction. An articulate and probing writer, an intriguing individual.

Sorry, I hit personal reply in error!

Thanks--- great article!

Off topic (somewhat) it's kind of disappointing to think the a sizable percentage of the American people think better of President simply because of lowered gas prices.

As far as I'm concerned, America today is at least two different countries masquerading as one.

I hope you have some time for reading because One Nation, Two Cultures, by Gertrude Himmelfarb, seems right up your alley: http://www.ashbrook.org/books/himmelfarb.html

Even though the lies of the leftie elites seem to come out of the starting gate faster than the truth, truth will always end up winning the race in the end.

People who are unconcerned about truth will make up what they want to say. It doesn’t take much time. Discovering the truth can be a laborious effort. It almost always takes time.

More than one have noticed that truth has a certain ring to it. Gary Aldrich, in his book Unlimited Access, discusses what he calls the moosehead truth - a truth that you recognize immediately. Ann Coulter, in the Coral Ridge video Darwin’s Deadly Legacy (http://www.coralridge.org/darwin/), also discusses her reaction when she heard something new that she accepted as self-evidently true. I think there is something here that people rediscover. For many, it is a once in a lifetime experience. I expect some great philosopher or theologian has addressed the ring of truth in at length.

than to the Prophet and his traditional interpreters.

I liked it except for this above. The Prophet said the same things the Jihadists say.

As a very general response to your comment, seemingly there's been a tendency by opponents of Islamofascism to attempt to bolster their indictment by citing inflammatory & often grossly out of context passages from the Koran in a manner which we'd surely dismiss out-of-hand if the same tactic was employed to disparage Judeo-Christianity in its entirety based upon certain arbitrarily selected portions of the Old Testament?
