Judging by its actions in the wake of this scandal and the tone of the paper, we can say with "a margin of safety" that MoveOn still has a Jewish problem. So do the candidates who fail to renounce the support MoveOn is giving them.

Before we all get on our high horses here, we have some of our own prejudices here to clean out.
I posted a topic ( found here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1677375/posts ) about former terrorists that changed their lives and now tour the world speaking against the IslamoFacists and received some real vitriol against all Muslims in the replies. This was not deleted, was challenged only by a few (granted maybe only a few saw the posts and maybe the Admin/Mods missed it (I did not report it), but the hate was there none the less.
I am a conservative and I am more than happy to let anyone read all my posts and decide for themselves where my sympathies are.
This hatred some here hold towards all Muslims is wrong and we should rebuke it as much as we all rebuke those who talk against the Jewish people.
No race, no people are totally encompassed by their fringe.
I also believe that the Muslim population bears some responsibility for the public perception that is out there by not rebuking strongly enough or publicly enough to distance themselves with no equivocations from those that practice barbarism in their religions name, this however does not excuse some people hears reactions and hatred that they express too the entirety of the Muslim population.
What we think of as bad or wrong, "The only good Jew is a dead Jew" is just as wrong as, "The only good Muslim is a dead Muslim".

Many Jews from Europe were Socialists. However, they were also true socialists that didn't consider power, but real socialism.
They were corrupted by money, like most socialists in power.

Jews vote dem for several reasons. One, because they mainly live in New York, LA, and Florida Jewish enclaves and they never meet a Republican. Second, they experienced discrimination and Dems claim the heritage of the civil Rights movement.
Avote for the Dems is also a vote for murder, treason and socialism
The Muslims don't agree with the looney left on most things, but they want them in power, because then it would be easy for them to crush the 'infidels'.
Soros doesn't like his Jewish heritage very much. When that Malaysian guy said Jews rule the world by proxy, Soros agreed with him. Soros is something of a kook who has the money to play his messianic games. I mean, here's a guy that lived througn Nazism and later Communism and he now says Capitalism and America are the enemies? That this poor thinker takes over the Democratic party is not good news.
As to the second part of your question, I guess the Left in Europe back in the 19th century was friendlier than the right and the Jews gravitated to it. The predominantly Jewish Menshevik party was Socialist, too, though not as bloodthirsty as the more native, Russian Bolsheviks. Also, Roosevelt appointed a lot of Jews in his administration (his program was sarcastically called the Jew deal) amd a lot of Jews feel grateful because of that. It should be added that they really shouldn't because of Roosevelt's foot dragging in rescuing the doomed Jews of Europe and the fact that if Roosevelt had lived, Israel would've never come into existence. The younger Jews and the Orthodox Jews are voting more for Pres. Bush and the Republicans, but the older ones remain Democratic out of bad habits, I suppose.That's my opinion off the cuff.
Thanks for your explanation, it is appreciated. I suspect it is a little like my grandfather. Hell would have frozen over before he voted for a Republican although his personal philosophy was very conservative.
