It was recently observed that Ron Paul was to the left of Obama on national security and the best evidence for that statement can be found when one year ago Ron Paul joined forces with Barney Frank on a proposal to gut national defense via a panel of experts, quite a few of whom were tied to George Soros. In July 2010, Barney Frank and Ron Paul co-authored a Huffington Post article rolling out their Sustainable Defense Task Force. The Task Force “consisting of experts on military expenditures that span the ideological spectrum” would recommend a trillion dollars in defense...

Dear MoveOn member, Americans are talking about the economy—a lot. They're talking about Occupy Wall Street and the Super Committee, about an economy that only works for the 1% and about unemployment. But thanks to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, lots of talk about the economy means lots of misinformation about the economy. So if you're spending this Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family, and want to be ready with the facts to gently correct any myths you hear (they are family and friends, after all), we put together a short guide with five common myths you might hear and...

A beautiful Brazilian soap star has the lead role in her own daytime drama, which casts George Soros, the billionaire financier of lefty causes, as a heavy who not only broke her heart, but also reneged on a promise to give her an Upper East Side apartment worth $1.9 million. The drama will be staged in Manhattan Supreme Court, where 28-year-old Adriana Ferreyr yesterday filed a blockbuster $50 million suit charging, among other things, that the frisky octogenarian slapped her around while they were in bed discussing his real-estate betrayal. The sultry actress and the mogul, who's worth some $14.5...

Liberal organizations and unions are frustrated that President Obama has not aggressively pushed a new jobs stimulus agenda, and they are offering up a consolidated fall agenda for Democrats to embrace as an alternative to austerity. Representatives of MoveOn.org, Rebuild the Dream and the Center for Economic Policy and Research joined Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) on Tuesday to launch a progressive “Contract for the American Dream” to urge the administration and Congress to turn away from budget cutting and focus on job creation.

Fellow Patriots, This is an urgent call for your help. No, we're not looking for money - this is far more important than a financial donation. We have just found out that MoveOn.org is planning on crashing one of our Chapter meetings this coming Wednesday. They are bringing the battle to our turf, and we damn well better be prepared to defend it. This is only the beginning of the attacks the Tea Party movement will be experiencing as we move forward. MoveOn and other progressive organizations understand that the Tea Party was the only reason the recent debt ceiling...

Liberals outline stimulus agenda in 'Contract for the American Dream' By Erik Wasson - 08/09/11 10:57 AM ET Liberal organizations and unions are frustrated that President Obama has not aggressively pushed a new jobs stimulus agenda and they are offering up a consolidated fall agenda for Democrats to embrace as an alternative to austerity. Representatives of MoveOn, Rebuild the Dream and the Center for Economic Policy and Research will join Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) on Tuesday to launch a progressive “Contract for the American Dream” to urge the administration and Congress to turn away from budget cutting and focus on...

MoveOn.org drives new liberal catch phrase: ‘Tea party downgrade’ Matthew Boyle - The Daily Caller 43 mins ago The left-wing activist group MoveOn.org picked up the new liberal slogan bashing conservatives for Standard & Poor’s U.S. credit rating downgrade: “Tea Party downgrade.” President Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry both used the phrase on Sunday talk shows. In a Sunday afternoon email to supporters, MoveOn.org accused tea partiers of being responsible for the first-ever credit downgrade in U.S. history. “This ‘tea party downgrade’ is a shameful blow to our nation’s honor and risks throwing...

Dear MoveOn member, How good would it feel to see a big win for progressives right now—and a devastating defeat for the tea party? Democrats in Wisconsin are on the verge of just that. And with just six days left in their campaign to recall the Republican state senators who aided and abetted Gov. Walker's vicious attacks on working families, they need our help. Polling released yesterday shows that it's going to come down to the wire. Democrats are tied or slightly ahead in all six of the races1, but conservative groups like Citizens United and Club for Growth are...

There are quite a few reasons not to like Chairman Obama. He's arrogant. He's dismissive. (Yeah, I'm still carrying that grudge two years later.) He bows to foreign monarchs. (Nope, I'm not forgetting that either.) He's a Marxist AND--- He's a rude cuss who doesn't know how to say thank you. After all, We the People helped pay for his campaign in the '08 Poularity Contest, whether we supported "fundamentally changing" America or not. No, you read that right. Here, let me say that again. In fact, I'm going to use all caps so this way everyone can see what...

Dear MoveOn member, "Can liberals start their own tea party?"1 That was a Washington Post headline on Friday—and it's a good question. Last week, green jobs visionary Van Jones introduced a new organization focused on progressive economic solutions: Rebuild the Dream. Rebuild the Dream is joining with organizations including MoveOn, the AFL-CIO, SEIU, the Campaign for Community Change, and many more, to launch a new effort to build up a people-powered movement to counter the influence of the tea party. The first step for this emerging American Dream movement is creating our own blueprint for fixing the economy—an all-new Contract...

In the course of my research for this column, I visit many leftist websites. (If my laptop were ever to fall into the wrong hands, I would probably look like a communist spy.) Often, these sites are very, very dull, like Al Snore on downers. However, there is a lot that can be learned from reading the user comments. After all, the best way to study animals is to observe them in their natural habitat. Let's see Liberalius Schmuckius in action at the Moveon.Dork Preserve for Mentally Ill Moonbats. (As is our custom: All spelling and grammatical errors are left...

While spewing venom at the Communist Left at Moveon.Dork, I noticed something rather odd at the bottom of the propaganda-filled screen: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "MoveOn.org Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) organization which primarily focuses on nonpartisan education and advocacy on important national issues. MoveOn.org Political Action is a federal political committee which primarily helps members elect candidates who reflect our values through a variety of activities aimed at influencing the outcome of the next election. MoveOn.org Political Action and MoveOn.org Civic Action are separate organizations." http://front.moveon.org/hows-the-voting-republican-thing-working-out-for-ya/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ahhhhh....but what is a 501(c)(4) organization ? Let's ask the goosesteppers at the IRS: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

The Republican campaigns of 2006 and 2008 consisted of long litanies of dropping the ball when it comes to the Democrats' vulnerabilities. I refer specifically to John McCain's and Rick Santorum's inexcusable failure to call their opponents out for indefensible racist, anti-Semitic, and/or anti-Catholic connections. Casey's acceptance of MoveOn.org's support should have disqualified him, especially in a state with a large Catholic population. MoveOn.org Promoted Anti-Semitic and Anti-Catholic Hate Speech In 2006, I joined Jan Poller and Robert Goldberg in exposing MoveOn.org's exercise of editorial control in favor of anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, and other forms of hate speech at the organization's...

A group of union goons and MoveOn.org thugs crashed a tea party rally in New York and started screaming at the protesters. Capital Confidential reported, via Free Republic: Assembly Republicans organized a rally calling for the imposition of a two-percent cap on local and school property tax increases, but it was crashed by a coalition of liberal and labor groups who want a “circuit breaker” adjustment to property taxes, in which higher income taxes are used to provide tax relief to less-affluent individuals. PROVIDENCE — Tax Day rallies around Kennedy Plaza, one during lunch and the other at rush hour, drew some of the same participants and aired similar themes: that hard-working Americans pay more than their fair share of taxes. Protesters who started gathering at 12:15 p.m. at the statue of Ambrose Burnside warmed up by chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Wall Street greed has got to go,” and “I pay, you pay, why doesn’t Bank of America pay?” Christopher Currie, the Rhode Island coordinator for MoveOn.org, called on corporations “to do the right thing” during “these difficult economic times, when Americans...

Gang of Six negotiators are close to striking a deal on a deficit-reduction package, according to Senate sources. White House officials and Democrats are pressing for the six negotiators to wrap up their talks by the Easter recess beginning on April 16. There is no deal yet, however, and Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) has made clear that he will not be held to an arbitrary timeline. Coburn has also insisted that a broad deficit reduction package include Social Security reform, something that Democratic negotiators such as Sens. Kent Conrad (N.D.) and Dick Durbin (Ill.) argue should be handled separately. The...

If NPR is a non-biased news organization… Why is MoveOn.org trying to save them? Maybe NPR has suddenly decided to promote neutral non-biased news organizations? The Boston Globe reported: …MoveOn.org, the left-wing pressure group, is promoting a petition that urges Congress to “protect NPR and PBS and guarantee them permanent funding, free from political meddling.’’ Yet political “meddling’’ is the inescapable price of taking political dollars. Conservatives would complain about NPR’s liberal tilt no matter where its funding came from, just as liberals complain about the conservative tilt of Fox News. But if NPR were no longer on the government...

The debate over public workers' unions took over the old state Capitol building in downtown Raleigh Saturday afternoon. A few hundred people joined a rally organized by the State Employees Association of North Carolina and MoveOn.org to support state employees in Wisconsin who would lose collective bargaining rights under a budget-cutting plan. They carried signs with slogans like "Unions make us strong" and "Fund pensions, not wars." Between 100 and 150 people belonging to various conservative groups held a counter-protest across the street. They held signs declaring "SEIU/SEANC, your gravy train is out of steam," "Rein in public sector unions"...

Wisconsin union rallies are about to get a lot noisier. MoveOn.org has joined the fray and is in the mood for melodrama. At high noon Saturday, the progressive activists plan rallies to “save the American dream” — more than 60 nationwide in fact, with participants instructed to wear yellow foam cheeseheads and anything in red and white to honor University of Wisconsin colors. The group also has talking points right out of a Depression-era novel: “We demand that the rich and powerful pay their fair share. We are all Wisconsin. We are all Americans.”

Not that I really look forward to another counter rally, but I feel there must be some people present with a reply of some sort. Please join me Saturday noon at the Colorado state capitol. http://hearus-now.org/?p=1622 Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=196217553739751

On its Twitter account today, PBS explicitly thanked MoveOn.org for their campaigning to "save public broadcasting" from the conservatives who would cut the budget of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. A special thanks to @moveon for its help and support this week. www.moveon.org #savepublicbcasting This certainly clashes with a story on Wednesday by Katy Bachman of AdWeek, in which executives expressed a slight embarrassment to be so fervently associated with the radical-left promoters of Bush-is-Hitler ads: Public broadcasting executives appreciate the support—to a point. But several who spoke with Adweek wish MoveOn would have stayed quiet. They’re concerned that the...

Group that called for sanctions against Glenn Beck also used its Jewish identity to whitewash MoveOn.org's promotion of anti-Semitic hate speechWe wrote previously that Jewish Funds for Justice, which called for sanctions against talk show host Glenn Beck for his attacks on George Soros, had a potential conflict of interest because it had received grants from Soros' Open Society. We also recall that Jewish Funds for Justice joined the National Jewish Democratic Council in using its nominally Jewish identity to whitewash MoveOn.org's promotion of hate speech against Jews, Catholics, evangelical Christians, and others. This suggests that any opposition that Jewish...

PROGRESSIVE AUTO INSURANCE: rest of the story You know their TV commercials . . . they're the ones featuring the perky actress all dressed in white. What you might not know is that the Chairman of Progressive is Peter Lewis, one of the major funders of leftist causes in America . Chutzpah: a man murders his parents and then asks the court for mercy because he is an orphan. Chutzpah certainly describes the National Jewish Democratic Council's recent condemnation of Sarah Palin for calling accusations that she somehow incited the alleged crime of Jared Lee Loughner as blood libels. It is a matter of record that NJDC has itself posted material that could be used to incite hatred of Jews as well as a blood libel of the Christian computer game "Left Behind: Eternal Forces." Here is what David A. Harris had to say about Palin: Instead of dialing down the...

Does America remember the Greek columns, the cheering crowds, the weeping, and the heartfelt emotion of "Yes we can?" What remains are crumbled columns and the echo of Obama's voice reverberating off the walls of an empty room. The crying continues, but for reasons other than ecstatic joy. On the left, and even in the middle, hope and change has officially morphed into panic and disillusionment. Barack Obama's approval rating has dropped below the dreaded 40%. The President has slid to a whopping 39%. In order to sink to the depths of George W. Bush's level of national disapproval, obviously...

During his press conference today, President Obama reassured the American people that he would focus on working with friends and foes across the aisle. Meanwhile, on a conference call with MoveOn.org activists, the president signaled he’s looking to continue pursuing his liberal agenda, working hard to “deliver the change the American people want… We didn’t sign up for what was easy,” he said. And why should the liberal left let something like a democratic election get in the way of their agenda? After all, as Obama notes, “we signed up for what is right.” To the left, their agenda is...

On October 19 outside the venue where a candidate debate was about to be held between Arizona’s Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords and her Republican challenger Jesse Kelly, a MoveOn.org-style, left-wing activist physically accosted a lone conservative that had the temerity to yell back and challenge the leftist’s outrageous claims. The violence prone leftist, a distempered fellow named Fred Highton, was whining about Republicans with an electric PA system outside the University of Arizona. Highton was there with a whole cadre of comrades to protest “Rpublicorp” Republicans. After listening to Highton’s blather, a conservative in the audience began to yell back...

A lot has been made of the video where a woman gets her head stomped on at a Rand Paul/Jack Conway debate. A lot. Before rushing to judgment, and before making incendiary comments in my presence, take into consideration some facts first. Her original story was she was simply handing Rand Paul an employee of the month award for a fictional company moveon.org made up. What is that supposed to mean to Rand Paul? Then, it was she was simply wanting to hold a sign. In all her versions, she’s just innocently standing there and gets jumped. That’s Keith Olbermann’s...

The Hockey Mom from Wasilla as the Boogie Woman. The White House attack on the US Chamber of Commerce isn't about "disclosure." It's about disarmament. While posing as campaign-finance champions, the ultimate goal of the Democratic offensive is to intimidate conservative donors, chill political free speech and drain Republican coffers. Chamber of Commerce official Bruce Josten tried to educate the public. "We know what the purpose here is," he told ABC News. "It's to harass and intimidate." Josten cited protests and threats against chamber members as retribution for ads the organization ran opposing the federal health-care takeover. The White House attack on the US Chamber of Commerce isn't about...

Grass-roots activists organizing boycotts against large corporations like Target stores and BP now find themselves directing some of their ire at another corporate monolith: Facebook. The boycotters turned to the popular social media site to spread word about their pressure campaigns, but those efforts became much more difficult last week when Facebook disabled key features on the boycott pages. As the number of Facebook members signed up for the “Boycott Target Until They Cease Funding Anti-Gay Politics” page neared 78,000, Facebook locked down portions of the page — banning new discussion threads, preventing members from posting videos and links to...

As President Barack Obama formally declared an end to combat operations in Iraq this week, the anti-war movement that helped sweep him into office – and that worked for seven years to bring U.S. troops home – finds itself struggling for survival. Several factors – war fatigue; a deep, lingering recession; and the presence of a Democratic president they helped elect – have drained the energy from organizations that led the fight against the Iraq war. Some of the most influential anti-war activist groups that once summoned half a million people to march against the Iraq war and the policies...

It’s hard to imagine a greater victory for the conservative legal movement than the Supreme Court’s 2008 decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, which overturned D.C.’s ban on handguns. Not only did the Court definitively settle the long-contested question of whether the Second Amendment secures an individual right to keep and bear arms, but it did so using the language of “originalism”—the school of thought, long championed by conservatives, that says the Constitution should be read according to its original public meaning. It was therefore surprising when a leading conservative jurist, Judge J. Harvey Wilkinson III of the U.S....
