Just came over the radio that the Ohio congressman (Jack someone or another?) has pleaded guilty to the charges he was facing.
I wonder if maybe he gave somebody up and it could be related to this news conference?

Boy, isn't that true?

The only group of people EVER talking about fear is the Dems.

Bottom line it for me if you can: what did the Senate do yesterday?

They surrendered to the Islamofacist. Maybe that's what the speech is going to be about?

An excellent opportunity for President Bush, now what will he do with the opportunity?

Time for a no holds barred, I'm in charge, confident and upbeat message. The Dems will soil themselves.

Cowards! All of them....and if a nuke goes off in the US, they'll ALL blame Bush...including MATT LAUER who is incredulous that we would torture terrorists for life saving information.

Our enemies behead, chop off limbs, torch the skin of their victims. They mutilate genitals and rape women in front of their families.

When Senators Warner McCain and Graham say that "we are like them" if we treat our enemies as badly as we treat our own soldiers in basic training, they demonstrate that they have lost all sense of human morality, decency and certainly, proportionality.

Now I think maybe I was wrong all along

i know exactly what you mean. I defended him as well, when he was under attack.

I'm beginning to believe, that Bush should have let him go as soon as it became evident he was retaliating for being embarrassed by the Intel.

fist he tried to make it look like the State department intel was right, all along,(which is false) and now all this stuff about Armitage! and statements by Generals who were once under his command, against the premise of the Iraq war.

He has been playing against the admin, even before he left office.

"Powell is distracting the press from his involvement in the Plame outing. (the letter worked just fine.)"

I could care less about that &^%$#@! Plame, or her &^%$#@! other half, Wilson. She was never "outteed" and no law was broken - except Libby lying to an investigator after the fact, to cover an apparent affair with a reporterette. Yet the left has succeeded in making the public believe that one was.

On another note, Plame/Wilson belong in Hollywood, and now that Cruz has been fired, Wilson can get him to play Hero Joe in the movie he's been drooling about for years.

He should have been blasting away with these conferences for the past 5 years! Twice a week!

Mostly they are canned email acknowledgments, "thank you for sharing your opinion...". And if you don't live in their state, they say "we regret we can only respond to those who live in ___".

Of course when they aspire to be President, they are more interested in out of state opinions. :)-

I think he'll also mention, in addition to the RINO terrorist bill of rights:

1. the earmark/transparency in spending bill that the House passed yesterday, now waiting for his signature...maybe he signed it this morning?

2. economy continuing to do well, energy prices easing, poised for more growth...

3. Iran continues to defy the West, and EU and the UN must stop talking and start acting...

The press will want to question him on:

1) his perceived politicization of 9-11,

2) immigration/amnesty (to try to get the right stabbing each other again)

3) Iraq quagmire.

I hope he just comes out and says "We've turned KLM over to the military tribunal system in Afghanistan. The execution is tomorrow at noon. Thank you and good night." And then he walks off.
