I wonder what a zip gun costs to build? Maybe $10, piece of pipe, short piece of 2X4, rubber bands. Sounds like a business opportunity.........
!! SUCKERS !!
And in a month...
"...police identified the victim of the home invasion robbery as Francinininininina Jones, 55, of Southeast. She was found bound to a chair inside the house when police arrived, victim of two gunshots to the back of the head.
"7th District police spokesmen said they have no leads on the robbers."

You're talking abilities WAY beyond what the average DC resident has and ambition way beyond too. They mostly collect welfare, sell and do recreational chemicals steal from each other and whine. That is why DC votes 96% Democrat
And knowing how corrupt the DC police system is (I think they are trained in New Orleans...heheh), I wonder what ACTUALLY becomes of these guns. Are they REALLY ALL destroyed, or do they wind up in the personal collections of politicians, officers, and back on the market?
"police department's gun buyback program"
I did not know the police sold these guns in the first place in order to "buy them back".
"I wanted the gun out of the house," said Jones, 55, who lives in Southeast and traded the firearm for a $50 payment from the city. "There's too much killing, all these young people have guns."
Careful, dear - that shotgun's liable to creep out of the closet some night while you're asleep, shake off the dust of long years in storage, and knock you on the head.
My guess is that the husband of Francicininina Jones is deceased or is unfortunately an utter doormat subject to her every nonsensical whim.

"They are, I think, best characterised by their combined lack of spine and incapacity for original thought."
It seems the leftists have done a great job in pacifying these dolts.
There is no possible way anything of quality (e.g. Glocks, HK, Sigs, Kimbers, S&W, Rugers, etc., etc.) are finding their way to smelting furnaces or barged to an offshore ocean dumping zone. I'll eat my hat if shown otherwise.

BRILLIANT!

This would be an instant divorce in my house.
Now how can you say that about the system that was run bu Chief Moose? My guess would be sold again and the money pocketed, to be turned in again etc. until the grant money was gone.
An OOOPS! at the Vital Records office?
Ouch.
Makes me want to buy up all the old crappy semi-autos I can find and trade them in. I could use the profits for something evil, like a Krinkov pistol with a 75rd Chinese drum. It's just too bad that I live 3000 miles away from D.C.
The DC Police were not run by Chief Moose ... that was Montgomery County, Maryland. That's an entirely different entity; still a democRAT hellhole, though ...
I think it has been tried. Supposedly the cops offered him a ride downtown if he didn't depart ASAP. No sense of humor, those guys.
Wonder if you'd have to fill out the the transfer papers and have an FFL or if you could do it as a private transaction between citizens?
