No caption, but, it's interesting how Kerry shrinks away from physical contact with the "mere commoner". You know that Dubya would have his arm around the guy and would be positioning him so that his relatives could get a good picture.

"I'm prepared to kick their ass from one end of America to the other" said Kerry, in a strong hint that he intends to run for president once again."

One problem for him though. His current Senate term ends in 08. Has anyone ever run for President and Senate at the same time? If Deval Patrick(think African-American Mike Dukakis)does not win the Dem.primary or if he wins the primary and loses(hopefully)the general election,I would not be surprised if he ran against Kerry. Also Kerry isn't that popular with local politicians. He seems to forget what state he is Senator for until re-election time.

How 'bout those Buckeyes!

You beat me to it!

As a proud Wolverine, that was my favorite Kerry gaffe of '04. (I know, I know, it's hard to pick just one.) I wish I'd been there as the booing from his hand-picked supporters arose just to see the look on his face. Then, when he realized what he had done, he started stammering about "Well, that was what I was saying earlier today, when I was in Ohio, I know you folks have your... 'Big Blue'..." The guy would have paid a thousand smacks for someone to whisper the word "Wolverines" to him just then! Karl Rove must have giggled himself stupid over that one.

Over the following few days Pres. Bush did several Michigan events and I eagerly read his introductory remarks at each one knowing for sure Kerry's blunder wouldn't go unremarked. "Well, I'm sure that's not what you folks here in Michigan were expecting to hear..." No, Mr. President, it certainly was not! LOL!
