Sacribegovic (Sacribey): Milosevic had an agreement with the U.S.

Former Bosnia-Herzegovina official Muhamed Sacirbegovic [trans. note: aka Sacirbey] has stated that an agreement existed between former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic and the highest representatives of the U.S. administration to turn Srebrenica, Zepa and Gorazde over to the Serbs, and make it possible for Republika Srpska to exercise its right to a referendum.

Sacirbegovic, the former Bosnia-Herzegovina ambassador to the United Nations, said in an exclusive interview for Sarajevo's Hajat TV that he knows "that there was an agreement between Milosevic, on one side, and Bill Clinton, Richard Holbrooke and Yasushi Akashi to turn over protected zones in the east to the Serbs.

"As far as I know, Milosevic asked that the eastern (protected) zones be excluded from the map of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Federation and given to Republika Srpska," said Sacirbegovic, who was also the Bosnia-Herzegovina foreign minister.

Ambassador Sacirbegovic further said that the U.S. administration at that time tried to convince the Muslim government in Bosnia-Herzegovina to begin negotiations and turn over the protected zones.

"None of us, Alija Izetbegovic (the war-time president of the Bosnia-Herzegovina presidency), Haris Siljadzic [sic] (the premier in Sarajevo) and myself, did not want this because we did not have the right and we did not want to help ethnic cleansing and, ultimately, we did not want to help Belgrade for strategic reasons, [we wanted to] push away their negation of the last contact map, which was already agreed upon," said Sacirbegovic.

The second element of that agreement, according to Sacirbegovic, was "to make it possible for Republika Srpska to exercise its right to a referendum and for it to be excluded from Bosnia-Herzegovina and annexed to Serbia, which is what the premier of the Serb entity, Milorad Dodik, is now insisting on."

Sacirbegovic further said that there was also an agreement between Milosevic and "some Americans" for Republika Srpska to be given the right to self-determination.

"That agreement was between Milosevic and some Americans. I know that Mrs. Madelaine Albright (the U.S. state secretary at that time) tried to stop this part because she knew of the danger, not just for Srebrenica but for the entire reputation of the U.S. I don't know who is in the State Department now who knows about this agreement but I know it does exist..."

Sacirbegovic has been accused by the Bosnia-Herzegovina government of financial misdeeds during his term as Sarajevo's representative to the UN and the embezzlement of over 2.5 million dollars. They have requested his extradition from the USA. The court in New York had decided twice already on the extradition of Sacirbegovic, who also holds U.S. citizenship, but he has filed an appeal.

But Serbs had to give over territory to the Muslims for the deal as well.

I do believe the Muslim troops were ordered to withdraw from Srebrenica (it is telling that no one who is screaming about wanting the truth ever tries to get ahold of all the Bosnian Muslim military records on this), and they did this secretly the evening before the Serbs came. Their leadership, including Naser Oric, had left months before, and didn't bother to come back in the intervening weeks.

Though many of the average soldiers didn't know about it until they were suddenly ordered from their strong defenses all around Srebrenica. Only 3 weeks later, the Muslim army was busing soldiers all around to participate in Operation Storm with the Croats, whereby 200,000 Krajina Serbs were ethnically cleansed from Croatia in about 3 days, along with further attacks on those refugees as they crossed into Bosnia.:

Srebrenica’s fall was very sudden. We were in our village when the attack began. There were strong points, strong defenses all around. My brother was with me. My mother, wife, and child were together and they went to Potocari.

Around 7:30 in the evening, we got the news that women and children should go in one direction and that men should go in another direction because of the possibility of attack.

The order came from the brigade commander in Srebrenica and the people followed that direction.

It was really hard. My wife took our child and left. I stayed behind at our house and waited for others who were leaving, so that we could go together.

About 11:15 p.m., the men started to get together and we went to a nearby village where the men were also gathering. I was with my family, friends, and neighbors. At one point, there were, I think, something like eighteen thousand men together in that one place.

They told us it would be difficult to walk from the place where we had gathered, to walk to Tuzla, because it was hard to organize eighteen thousand people into one row so that they would go one after another.

People started leaving about 1:00 a.m. It wasn’t our time to go until about 6:00 a.m. Those ahead of us were moving for five hours and we still didn’t leave until 6:00 a.m. – my brother and the others I was with.

We crossed the Serb line and it immediately became more difficult because we were in their territory. There was one huge group of people walking in front of us, marking the way to go. Of course, after eighteen thousand people go, there is a mark of the way, there was a trail of the way out.

This is pretty much the way I understood the deal at the time:

1) Republika Srpska gets the eastern enclaves, Republic status and the right to eventually join up with Serbia.
2) Croatia takes over full control of the Krajina region.
3) Kosovo is stripped from Serbia and becomes independent.
4) The Croatian part of Herzegovina remains in confederation with Bosnia and not allowed to become part of Croatia.

This was how the US and the West invisioned the map of the Balkans to be cleaned up. Before the eastern enclaves in Bosnia fell, the US State Department was getting very impatient with the Serbs because it was taking way too long for them to make their move.

Could you expound more on that last part about them getting impatient with the Serbs to make their move. What were they saying and for how long had they been pressuring the Serbs on that front - weeks, months, half a year...?

What Sacribey is saying, and what other articles (like this one: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1703784/posts )have begun to reveal lately is that the US was not just "the frustrated bystander in the Balkan conflicts" that Clinton & Albright pretended to be. In many cases, we were actually calling the shots on the ground in Bosnia and Croatia and were even telling Milosevic what to do next during the war. At one point, the US was even frustrated with the Serbs for "under-reacting", while the press was yelling that Serbs were "overreacting".

It is probable that Milosevic actually trusted Clinton and Clinton betrayed him. Not a surprise -- the American people trusted Clinton, his wife trusted him and he betrayed all of us, so why not betray Milosevic?

If memory serves me right, the Serbs were thought to be about 2 or 3 weeks late in taking the eastern enclaves when I heard that the State Department was growing impatient. I think it was about a week, maybe 2 weeks, after I heard of the State Department's impatience that the Serbs moved on Zepa.

I'm not positive, but I think it was only a couple of months, or even less, from the time the deal to clean up the maps was made and the Serbs began to take the eastern enclaves.

I also seem to remember this all taking place before Dayton. Does that fit the timeline?

Another Explosion In Gjilan: Four Vehicles Destroyed

Pristina, 17 Sept 06 (Politika) – The KPS confirmed that during Saturday’s strong explosion in Gjilan, four vehicles were destroyed. An explosives device was probably placed under the minister of the local self-government’s vehicle, which was used by Ms. Aphrodiet Sula, the minister’s advisor.

There were no human victims in the explosion on Saturday and one of the destroyed vehicles belonged to the Ministry of Self-Government of the temporary Kosmet government, reported Beta.

Naser Ibrahimi, the KPS regional spokesperson stated that the explosion happened the previous night around 20:30 in the Dardania settlement in Gjilan and that the investigation is still underway. Ibrahimi was not able to state the motives of this explosion or to say what kind of explosive it was. ‘This information will be announced after the investigation’, he said to ‘Tanjug’.

Calling on unofficial sources, the Albanian media in KiM broadcasted that the explosives device was placed under the vehicle of the Ministry of the self-government, which was used by Aphrodite Sula, the minister’s advisor.

In the KPS report it says that during the explosion a lot of the windows were damaged and broken as a result of it. This is the second explosion in Gjilan which has happened in the past four days. During the previous explosion on Friday, there was damage done to the private vehicle of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Mr. Fatmir Redzepi. This incident was condemned by the president of the Kosovo Assembly Mr. Kole Berisa and Lutfi Haziri, the deputy Prime Minister. No information was issued by the police or by the investigative organs about this previous attack.

The KPS arrested two people who happened to be close to the place where the explosion occurred, which is very close to the building where Minister Redzepi lives, but they were released because of a lack of evidence.

The planting of the explosives in the private vehicle of the Minister of the Police has provoked a harsh condemnation from the institutions of self-government in the Province, the Presidency, the Assembly and the Kosovo government.
