"And who watches this drivel? Libs. And apparently they are not watching much anymore either. "

I wonder where libnuts "get" their news. Obviously, it must be from libnut blogs, as they never have any facts or truths.

Ditto on Katherine Harris...let's hope she wipes that smarmy Nelson off the map in November.

And who watches this drivel? Libs. And apparently they are not watching much anymore either.

A good question and I don't think it is just libs who are the audience. I recently spent a week at my 85-year-old dad's house and he is an avid Rush listener but I could not get him to watch FOX news in the evening, especially Britt Hume. He has a television life-long habit of watching the evening network news, mostly NBC, and he refuses to change. I suspect there are a lot of folks out there in their 60's and 70's who are relatively apathetic about news that is in depth more than the typical 30-second bite.

At this rate, Perky may not even last as long as Bawawa Walters did at the anchor desk.

IIRC, Walters was anchorette for about 6 weeks. But she was always an ABC co-anchor, never sole anchor. Connie Chung's stint on CBS was about as short and she was co-anchor, not sole anchor, too.

A few things in life are completely and utterly predictable.

This was one.

The truth is simply put and you've done it simply, thank goodness.

If you choose to watch/hear 'real' news, tune in the Red Green Show. http://www.redgreen.com/

After a day on the internet, I seldom watch any tv news in the evening.

FOXNEWS O'REILLY 1,932,000 - watch once in awhile
FOXNEWS SHEP SMITH 1,405,000 - watch seldom
FNC HANNITY/COLMES 1,396,000 - stopped watching
FNC BRIT HUME 1,381,000 - watch
FNC GRETA 1,284,000 - stopped watching
CNN WOLF BLITZER 912,000 - do not watch
CNN LOU DOBBS 848,000 - do not watch
CNN COOPER 790,000 - do not watch
CNN ZAHN 783,000- do not watch
CNNHN GRACE 770,000 - do not watch
CNN KING 706,000 - do not watch
MSNBC SCARBOROUGH 444,000 - do not watch
MSNBC OLBERMANN 444,000 - do not watch
CNNHN BECK 425,000 - watched twice (not sure local showing)
MSNBC HARDBALL 413,000 - do not watch it.

The fact is after a day at the office and knowing the news, I am begining to like watching the Daily Show and the Colbert report to get a little chuckle at the news.

Colbert interviewed Frank Rich and his anti-American, anti-Bush book and it was pretty funny to just laugh at them.

I really think cable has a way of monitoring what you watch.

Sounds interesting, but it appears the gentleman is overly paranoid about his trousers falling about his ankles - not both the belt and braces (suspenders to you lot). ;)

Braces to hold trousers up and a place to park your thumbs.

Belt for holster and sheath. Works for me.

For sixty million CBS could have signed a couple of starting pitchers and a good reliever instead of getting a worn out cathcer.

Bobbie: "Why are you so rough on her?"
Uncle Phil: "I don't like her."
Bobbie: "But she's one of the nicer liberals."
Uncle Phil: "I don't like any of them."

Bobbie and Uncle Phil were acquaintances of mine.
I won't even concede she is one of the nicer ones. I don't like her and I don't like any of them. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure there is heated meeting taking place this morning at CBS about how these falling ratings are because "we aren't liberal enough".

Or the libs will say its because she gave Rush a spot on her show.

I wonder where libnuts "get" their news.

They make it up. Any debate with a liberal will, after just a short period of time, be interjected with fabricated "facts"...and when challenged as to the source and validity of those "facts" the subject will almost invariably be changed (usually several times) in obtuse directions.

The let wing must feel pretty lonely these days holding up the Dixie Chicks, Katie, Michael Moore and Air America all by themselves. Its pretty hard to do that even if all 27%, their rough numbers in the population, carry them on their backs.

Looks like CBS News committed suicide by hiring Couric.

Death by Couric has a nice ring to it

Simply a half hour commercial for leftist collectivists and the DFL. It doesn't take more than a few minutes for the anti-Bush / anti-conservative editorializing to begin. Tass would be proud!

I have stopped watching National News, since I get all of it here on FreeRepublic. I usually get it half a day before it is reported by the MSM anyways, so on the odd occasion that I DO manage to stumble on a news program, it feels so old..
