Not only true, true twice. Whoever wrote the ad seems to think the Klan we know today was started by Democrats after the civil war. Ther original KKK was definitively put out of business by President Grant, a Republican.
Todays Klan was formed in 1915, by Democrats, based not only on a virulently anti-black, but an anti-immigrant and antisemitic agenda. Founded in the north, Indiana.
