Ted Kennedy is a U.S. Navy veteran himself

That is incorrect.

While attending Harvard as a legacy (his grades at Milton Academy werer poor), he was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two.

His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England, pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged.

Ted Kennedy bio

There's some info on Kennedy here that I never knew before -- very intersting.

I remember that at least two guys were running, and now that you mention it, Scott was one. I went to NRSC.org today from the office, and they are only showing Chase. So I guess Chase beat out Scott in the primary. From your experience, that's good news.

For some reason, the website (NRSC.org) is not working for me at home. I was thinking of sending the article to Chase's website. I'd love to see it in an add with the spoken words "Ted Kennedy doesn't support his constituents - even when they risk their lives for U.S." Or, "Teddy believes in a presumption of innocence for terrorists but not Massachusetts's best."

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. Marines were so locked in battle with Iraqi insurgents on the day 24 civilians were killed in Haditha that a U.S. Marine officer considered bombing a house where the insurgents took refuge, he told investigators.

Maj. Sam Carrasco, who was overseeing troop movements in the area when two dozen men, women and children were shot in Haditha, said he believed at the time the civilians died in cross-fire between Marines and insurgents.

Carrasco was not at the scene of what Iraqi witnesses say was a massacre by U.S. troops, but was questioned by military investigators over his report of the November 2005 killings.

I continue to think these Marines and Corpsmen are going to be proven innocent of any alledged charges brought against them.
