Hamid Mir, a Pakistani, is the only journalist to have interviewed Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al Zawahiri, since 9/11.
On the fifth anniversary of the attacks, Mr. Mir was in Afghanistan again, this time to interview Abu Dawood, the new al Qaida field commander there.
Final preparations have been made for an "American Hiroshima," Mr. Dawood told him, Mr. Mir said in an interview with Al Arabiya television last week. The attack or attacks will be led by Adnan El Shukrijumah, Mr. Mir said.
Mr. El Shukrijumah was born in Saudi Arabia in 1975, but grew up in Brooklyn. He was a friend of 9/11 hijack leader Mohammed Atta, and is both a trained nuclear technician and a pilot. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5 million for his capture.
When Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the former al Qaida operations chief who planned the 9/11 attacks was captured in 2003, he reportedly told his interrogators that Mr. El Shukrijumah would be in charge of the next major attack on America.

It says a great deal about their lack of character and intestinal fortitude.
It also states volumes about how condescending and weak they believe we are. They fear telling the population the truth. They believe you and I can't handle the true ugliness of what needs to and should be done.
They value their own comfort and security ( of power ) so much that they try to keep us oblivious to the real world.
We may all go to the slaughter house but the majority will go fat dumb and happy because they have been coddled and spoiled by our so called leaders. ( although many are gooing willingly )

The day after a nuclear attack on America, or more likely, that night, most of the nations that are clamoring for our demise would be the targets of 21st century weaponry. And they are not nuclear. Nukes are old technology. Look at the F18 Hornet and a WWII Corsair, do you think similar progress has not been made in other areas of weapons technology? No infrastructure damage, no lasting contamination, no survivors. It will be politically unavoidable for the government to do otherwise.

Hell, try staying overnight in a hospital. I can pick out "sleep deprivation" and "sound and light manipulation" right away.
Don't sweat it. I'm sure they'll convene hearings, create committees, generate reports, and diffuse blame.
We had to dive under our school desks in the 50s when the threat was thousands of nukes going off all over the US. Many of those nukes would have been city busters, 20 megatons or more. This threat of 1-7 20kiloton bombs seems like a joke in comparison, although it would bring a major change to our world outlook.
Boy! Those were the days, huh?
C'mon...Congress is busy 24/7 protecting us. This this morning I had to show picture ID to a pharmacist to buy a box of non prescription cold/sinus medicine.
If they are interesting in this minutia in my life, surely they must be interested in the greater matters!

And my Senator, the limpwristed Lindsey Graham, will have our blood all over him, not just his hands.
