'A total maniac'

We had hoped that conservative commentator Laura Ingraham would be the one to finally provide a rare peek into President Bush's mountain-biking world, which for whatever reason rotates in secrecy.

Mr. Bush invited the popular syndicated Washington-based radio host along for this past Saturday's two-hour-plus bike ride atop the dusty trails of the Secret Service training facility in suburban Maryland -- although, as usual, there wasn't a single sighting of the presidential trekkers.

"Of course it was OTR," Miss Ingraham told Inside the Beltway afterwards, feeding us the presidential code for "off-the-record."

lol...freat pic!!!

As a regular and long-time road and mountain biker, let me say that mountain biking is all about attacking the trail. My guess is that these guest bikers were not regular mountain bikers and were unaccustom to the difference in style of riding.

Who is this "Mr Bush" the media keep referring to...? Do they mean President Bush, by chance?

I'm also guess they were not accustomed to Bush's physical stamina and strength either. That man is one tough cookie!

Hey, look -- she has copper-colored eyes; I thought they were grey, for some reason.

Good-lookin' girl.

Do your duty, Laura -- six kids, minimum!! Six legacies for Dartmouth, to drive the liberal faculty nuts like you and Dinesh D'Souza did at the Dartmouth Review.

Yeah, I hate that stuff. President Clinton did this all the time.

And he's got more than a little stress to work off.

And the media never called him Mr Clinton by my recollection---and still don't.

It is common practice, and has been for MANY years to use President the first time in an article and Mr. after that. Try reading a few older articles.

All guest riders receive a gift of a pair of Peloton one cycling socks.

That would be the ultimate ride.

Rule number one-"Never pass the President." He likes to be the ride leader.

I don't care what they wish to call that turd now, but today the guy running the country is President George W.Bush, the commander and chief of the United States of America!

"Mister" was the form of address preferred by a guy you might've heard of, went by the name of George Washington. There was some discussion about what title to use, the most popular being "Your Excellency." Washington, however, formalized use of "Mr. President" or "Mr. Washington."

I seem to remember, dimly from my youth, that the word "President", even not used in conjuction with the name, was capitalized. That was the rule for any respected office, such as a particular Police Officer, Senator or Judge.
