CONDI VS. BUBBA . . .(Berger stolen papers revealed?)
NY Post ^ | 9/26/06 | Editorial

Posted on 09/26/2006 6:08:31 AM PDT by teddyballgame

In fact, a 1999 Clarke after-action memo - the one top Clinton aide Sandy Berger later stole from the National Archives - identified national-security weaknesses so "glaring" that only sheer "luck" prevented a cataclysmic attack back then.

And, as Clarke told the 9/11 Commission publicly, there was nothing the Bush administration could have done that would have prevented the attacks.

Sure, he tells a different story now. But that, he admitted, is because of his opposition to the Iraq war, which he believes distracted from the War on Terror.

Secretary Rice was a lot more honest, explaining yesterday that there was no full-scale War on Terror "the way that we're fighting it now" - by either administration - before 9/11: "We just weren't organized as a country, either domestically or as a leader internationally."

When Condi speaks, the country listens. She has the background and experience because she was there...she knows exactly what was and what wasn't. I think we might see the imergence of Colin Powell on this one...and he might just come out on Clinton's side...no telling!

It seems just bizarre that these people would keep spinning out new stories when they know damn well that the information is all out there to be found with average effort.

PBS featured a show on Marie Attoinette last night. She was doomed by her inability to accept that France had adopted a constitutional monarchy. She could not conceive an environment where her husband, the king, no longer possessed divine rights.

Executive managers are typically in their 50s; the DBM is no different. As such, they came of age in the 70s - the peak period of DBM dominance. They too are doomed because even though the power of the 'Net is obvious to all, they simply cannot get their minds around the fact that their lies are easily refuted.

"'Why did you fire Dick Clarke,'"

Because Dick Clark only plays music that is good to the ears and everybody dances to...

Any more questions?

I agree. The more press it gets, the better!!

Let's hope that other Republicans 'step up to the plate'--the way that Condi has!

This is true. I believe we ignored their declaration of war at our own peril. 9/11 showed us they meant business.

"The blame for 9/11 goes back fully 25 years, and includes both Democratic and Republican presidents."

Sounds pretty accurate. For the terrorist folks did not just suddenly drop from the sky one day, and the next day, the bombings began. Everything had to have been around for quite some time, and blatantly ignored.

Why...

Power and money were far more important. Who wants to be bothered by messy things when there's money and power to be had...

Now we will have to sit back and wait to see if Condi backs off her statements once Bubba's people contact her people.

Note to Condi: check under your car before you get in.

Having Ann interview Bubba would be priceless!!! Ann asks question. Bubba touches Ann or papers on Ann's lap. Bubba is found blubbering on the floor. Ann calls for ice for Bubba's ego and whatever else got in the way.

I am very inclined to agree. The BIGGEST blame gamepiece goes to Clinton, regardless of how much he cries and throws tantrums. He simply did not have the better interests of our country as his first and foremost goal during his Presidency. How could he? We all have seen in interviews of him, Kerry, and all the hungry power mongers in the hysterical den, that their primary focus is themselves. Pleasure, pleasure, pleasure and more pleasure for me, myself, and I. And to hell with the United States...

Richard Clarke is not a bad guy, and I don't think he really has any love for the RATs. He felt he was dissed and ignored for years, and wanted to be NSC director. Clearly the only way he thought he could get that was in a Kerry Admin. Didn't work out too well. I think GOP insiders should try and co-opt him to our side before 2008.

The best rundown of what was in Sandy Burglar's pantz that I've seen. Many thanks for posting that.

I see two levels of blame for 9/11 and related attacks:

(1) The scum who actually did it (who get the lion's share)

(2) Those in charge in our government who failed to protect us from them.

Of course #2 goes back to Carter, who gets a great deal of my blame, and bubba (well we all know where HIS head was).
