...You hit a Grand Slam on that one! Not only that, they even whine like Liberal women. When I had cable and would watch one of the FNC's shows and one of these Femme Guys would start flapping his (?) gums, I had to resist the urge to smash my TV. Thank goodness that's no longer an issue since I pulled the plug.

That is an excuse, not a reason.

Better to understand what your own values are, what you want from a person who will represent you, do the homework, and vote accordingly.

Voting straight ticket is an "out" for intellectual laziness. It is also an abdication of responsibility. If you vote (or not) for each contested office, and still end up voting for all Republicans, so be it. But saying you are willing to accept bad people in order to avoid voting for each candidate individually, is certainly not taking personal responsibility, but instead, foisting it off on "the system". That way, you vote for a criminal creep like George Ryan, and you can rationalize it by saying, the Democrats (and all other parties and independents) are generally worse, so I'll settle for creeps like him.
