I am in the midwest....gosh even when I traveled to Dallas I did not talk to a whole lot of Cowboy fans....I find that hard to believe unless you limited your conversation to the maid in your hotel room.

I don't know why I found this so hilarious. TY for the early morning laugh (for me at least, it's 514am here!)

I knew the Packers had to be in there. Who doesn't love them? Even when they are doing badly, you can't help but stick by them.
I'm an Arizona Girl but the GBP will always be #1 in my heart!!

I was suprised by that too...I would assume with all the transplants from other parts of the country settling in Dallas they may not have developed the loyalty....I am moving to Dallas next year and given my love of football I may become a fan of the Cowboys too......I just hope for the best for T.O.

Yeah, for adults who are accident-prone and suicidal.

My favorite team was the Frankfort Yellow Jackets. Reminded me of summer, walking in the woods, stepping on a nest...

That's great! I have a buddy who is a big time Raiders fan. I have to use this on him this weekend.

at least buffalo got rid of that wierd red line jabbing into the side of the bison'd head That's only when they play in their "throwback" uniform. The rest of the time, they have their "charging buffalo" logo.

The Redskins - my team - use to have cool looking colors - IMO. Their home colors used to be Burgandy jerseys with gold pants. Looked cool and snazzy. I think it was during Jack Pardee's reign as head coach they switched to their current style. I never liked it. They look like east coast KC Chiefs.

Cowboys were always my fav - under Tom Landry. I can not support them now because Jones has turned them into a joke. Maybe I should say jones is a joke, not the team.

Your post is astonishingly accurate. Heh. All I can add is that Schramm deliberately had the Cowboys put in the eastern division for the huge TV markets and said the Boyz would do the Thanksgiving games if they could ALWAYS do the Thanksgiving game to get the national exposure. Schramm was probably the key to Dalls being America's team, a moniker they earned, for one thing, by selling more NFL merchandise than all the other teams in the NFL combined.
He was also instrumental in getting a dance instructer, Texie Waters to choreograph the Cowboys Cheerleaders who may have been the first NFL cheerleaders, but I'm not certain of that.

As a Cowboy fan who remembers the Ice Bowl and the Packer dynasty very well, I didn't love them too much. But that was back then. You gotta respect the Packers. And that goes triple for the fans. Sitting outside in subzero weather in sold out stadium to watch football... man. Those are FANS!
