WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Senate Leader Bill Frist and Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, Senate Leader Harry Reid, and House Leader Nancy Pelosi urged Republicans to join Democrats to ensure fair and impartial elections, avoid systematic attempts to challenge voters based on race, provide equitable distribution of voting machines and ballots, protect voting rights for people with disabilities and prohibit the distribution of false information about voting locations and regulations.
Democrats are committed to ensuring that ever voter can vote and have that vote counted. The DNC through its Voting Rights Institute and National Lawyers Council has been laying the ground work for more than a year to expand Democrats' national voter protection efforts. These efforts include a national voter protection hotline, 1-888-DEM-VOTE, placement of election protection staff in 12 key states, and a comprehensive series of efforts aimed at helping Americans register to vote, learn how and where to cast their ballot, and provide assistance in overcoming Republican-led efforts to suppress voter turnout for the November elections.

Here's the deal for you Rats. Well tell our dead voters to stay home if you tell yours as well.

Hey Harry and Nancy, you must have missed Washington State. Oh, that's right. You just want "fair" elections in states where you are losers.
Do they want us to stop interfering with the rights of the dead?
I think this is one we should call their bluff on...
Pubbies don't have to cheat. Our people come to vote without being bribed with cigarettes, crack cocaine, 40s and baloney sandwiches.
Maybe they should look in the mirror, and ask the dems in Montgomery Co., Md. and Milwaukee, Wisc., whether there will be fair and impartial elections.
Cool, I wonder how many tires they plan to slash this year.
BTW, why do these goof balls in DC feel that it is their responsibility to override the individual Secretaries of State? They don't believe in State's rights.....
So the RATS are saying "Watch us to make sure we don't cheat this time"?
How can we cheat in at a Dem controlled polling place. All of the recent complaints have been in Dem districts.
The play book never changes with these clowns.
Democrats are already on record opposing this.
All the Dems have gotta do is stop cheating, and they'll be fair.
Republicans should call on Democrats to not slash tires, buy votes with cigarettes, or pluck chads off to create votes.
