Thanks for the optimism. I have been feeling the doom and gloom of the MSM weighing down on me (even though I know in the first place they are trying to beat me down).

It just amazes me that Democraps are even in the running for anything because, here we are 30 something days out of any elections and:

THEY STILL OFFER NO PLANS.

How can people vote for that?

You and I, and a handful of others, are about the only ones here who see what is about to happen.

I think "ticking off the public" is an understatement. If impeachment is the only thing they try to accomplish, we'd definitely get the majority back next time.

Just because there's a lot of anger and frustration over the war, doesn't mean that the majority of people want a radical shakeup in the top levels of government. Most reasonable people will say there's going to be an election in 2008 anyway. Why do we have to do this now? That's why I think impeachment would be a bad move on the Dems part.

yes but doesn't the house issue articles of impeachment? if the house ends up in dem hands you can bet they'll tie down bush for the rest of his term fighting bogus impeachment hearings.

Bottom line: GOP better hold both senate and house.

So you base your predictions on Zogby, the inaccuracy of partisan polls, a few out-of-context quotes from MSM articles, and DU post? Good plan. Those sure sound like reliable sources.

Why don't you talk about non partisan and independent polling data for once?

Sounds like you are the one using "feelings" to predict elections.

--Great point. Ginsberg and Stevens might retire. the only problem is the House is much tougher to get back. It only took us 40 years to get it back last time--

The Dims' majority, even IF they take over, would be razor-thin. The libs would still be forced rely on Southern moderates to pass anything.

Pelosi & Co. would have 2 years to get exposed as the frauds that they are, & the House could easily swing right back to the GOP in 2008 (hopefully on the heels of a ticket such as Giuliani - George Allen).

Could you make your post just a little longer next time?

Yeah, I agree. I could print this one without even using a whole ream of paper! ;-)

Charlie Rangel (D-NY) has already said that if the Dems did not take control of the House this year, he is leaving Congress.

Boo freakin Hoo!

How much you want to bet that he doesn't keep his word?

These guys love the perks of power too much to ever leave willingly.

The difference is even if the Democrats do regain control of Congress, it will be short-lived. Demographics are working against them and Bush will not be President forever. And the Democrats in power would have to define what they stand for and if they try to pass the radical Left's wish list, they will come against the twin reality of a GOP filibuster in the Senate and a presidential veto a the White House. So the situation is different from the 1950s when Republican House majorities were transient. Every one expected the Democrats to get back on top and stay there for a long time. (They did.) And the Democrats will have only a narrow Congressional majority should they win in November.

Well, right now the dhimmicrats are blowing the balls off the Republicans.

The Republicans tried to make the November contests local.

The dhimmicrats had a really coordinated national plan.

Woodward's book, attacking the administration was scheduled for release 5 weeks before the election.

The Foley scandal had been cued up -- the game here is to attack the Republicans in Congress.

The MSM were is place to disseminate all the dhimmicrat arguments.

The Republicans were caught with their pants down and will be on the defensive until election time.

You can't play fair and be above the fray with these people -- they play dirty and for keeps.
