Since guilt-by-association is now the hot fad (see GOP/Foley), I'd say Gore is a bible-thumping religious nut.
I have always felt that the Phelps gang were a bunch of posers (pretending to be Christian Fundamentalists), trying to make real Christian Fundies look bad. He is a media whore of the first rank, threatening to protest the Amish girls funeral. I also suspect some Democrat/liberal organization as being behind this.
Perhaps, but it also shows Democrats populate in the far right as well as the left. And, that they are violent and radical. Although, no surprise there.
