Today we have more on Jordon Edmund, the page that fmr rep. Foley had contact with.
A former U.S. House page working on the gubernatorial campaign of Republican Rep. Ernest Istook may be a part of the scandal involving former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley, The Oklahoman has learned.
The former page, a Californian named Jordan Edmund, 21, on Wednesday hired Enid attorney Stephen Jones to represent him, the attorney confirmed.
Jones would not say exactly why he was hired, but did say, I understand the FBI and the House Ethics committee have an interest in the matter the allegations concerning Congressman Foley which have surfaced.
Foley, a Republican from Florida, resigned abruptly Friday after it was learned he exchanged sexually explicit e-mails with former pages. The FBI is investigating.
Istooks campaign manager, Chip Englander, who also is from California, declined comment Wednesday to an Oklahoman reporter.
However, Englander gave The Oklahoman a statement that was attributed to Istook.
The statement says: The sad and sick behavior of Mark Foley was a total surprise to me when it was revealed. Law enforcement is doing its job, and I support that effort. Now we should all support and protect the victims, and they should not be hounded by the press.
It was a complete surprise to learn this morning that one victim may be someone I know. Each one of the victims deserves their privacy. To every reporter I request, please have the decency to avoid making things worse for the victims, and just leave them alone. This happened years ago when the victims were minors.

I'm starting to get lost in all the who's who on this story.
This is the hardest story to follow...so many Gays, so little time. DC is INFECTED with corruption.
Foley was pretty sharp. He doesn't violate Federal Law because he didn't try to actually meet with the Pages. It is not enough just to exchange sexually explicit e-mails. That is why the FBI has to arrange for a rendezvous to make the pinch.
I'm still waiting for a good reason why the page responded to Foley's IMs instead of hitting "Off" or saying "Go Away Dude".
Maybe he was of the impression that if an IM is unavoidable, you might as well enjoy it.
My daughter knew how to block unwelcome IMs when she was 12 years old.

It appears that some of these Congressional pages who claim to have received IMs from Foley were gay themselves, so the claim that the IM overtures were somehow offensive has become suspect. I'd imagine they'd be interested in the possible advantage of playing along, to further their own career aspirations too, so there's another motive. These are not your average kids; they're ambitious, motivated and worldly. Opportunity knocked, and they ran with it. Jordan Edmunds and Tyson Vivyan are still running with it.
Edmund's my-space page, screen capped on the PassionateAmerica blog, lists "ballroom dancing" as one of his hobbies. If you recall, one of the redacted IM's on ABC's site had a conversation with Foley about taking waltzing lessons. It from further proves that the IM was likely Edmunds, but also shows something else that doesn't add up.
A male ballroom dancing enthusiast...in high school. Let's just say he probably got beat up a lot by the other kids.
