FBI's Foley 'assessment' focuses on Istook staffer
Wash Times ^ | 10.06.06

From combined dispatches The FBI's ongoing "assessment" to determine whether disgraced former Florida Rep. Mark Foley violated federal law is focusing, in part, on a 21-year-old former page working on a gubernatorial campaign in Oklahoma. Lawyer Stephen Jones, who represented convicted terrorist Timothy McVeigh, said yesterday that he been retained by the former page, Jordan Edmund, and was "reviewing" the matter.

I can't find the link, but another freeper found where this guy Vivyan (at least same name) was on the internet having the highest score on a blackjack machine in a bar. Okay. Except it was a gay bar in Atlanta.

You can be sure that the Congressional Pages who engaged in salacious IM conversations with Foley, whether as pages or later, were either:

(1) gay and did not feel "abused" by Foley or

(2)were guys who well knew the nature of the prank they were involved in and needed no goading from Foley - no matter what their age.

Foley's predeliction for teens is immoral. That does not make every teen he may have been in contact with "moral" or pure as the driven snow. Let's not forget that whether for personal or political reasons some of those involved have had agendas and Foley was a tool in their agendas.

Foely should get whatever he deserves, but many of the pages were not "innocent"; don't put all of them on a pedestal that surely only some of them deserve.

***Ahhh... the "me too" chorus is amping up. Same thing happened with the RCatholic Priest thing. And in Richmond, California whenever there was a plant failure, folks from all over the map would show up with their hands out for the green stuff saying "me too, I can't breathe either".***

Same thing with a Chicago (CTA) Bus accident. Twenty people documented being on the Bus, two hundred lawsuits filed for injuries.

You are right.

However, given my altogether too many years living amid the Brownshirter Mecca of the United States (SF), I saw the emails -- It appears that most in the US do not understand "gay" speak. The linguistic set. There are some wonderfully conservative gays who DO mentor younger gays.

I wouldn't be surprised if Foley weren't trying to woo these young gay men away from the Democrat Party and to the Republican Party.

Again, it appears the MSM is playing dumb, willfully. They know the gay linguistic set PERFECTLY, and are going along with Pelosi to turn everything "Republican" into something which simply hasn't at all been proven out.

Denny Hastart was right to counsel Mr. Foley after the emails. That no matter the "linquistic set" to a special minority group; it might give the appearance of Impropriety.

So, the young buck Dem Gays purposefully set out to set up an aging older "Fag".

You see this stuff all the time in SF.

And, Pelosi knows it.

The RATS were caught again. This will go away very quickly.

You're right, but the damage has already been done. The average "headline reader" understood the initial charge: Foley's a hypocritical GOP sexual predator. It's also been trumpeted (true or not) that the GOP leadership was covering for him.

That's the message that will stick with Joe Average - or worse - I would bet if you asked people to explain what happened many would tell you that Mark Foley was molesting little children in his office while Denny Hastert was standing guard outside.

SO regardless of the outcome of the real story, it's "Mission Accomplished" for the Dark Side to some extent.

"I saw it; I read about it; therefore it "happened" to me"... lol. Not funny, but, yep.

If so, it would be tempting to flood it with thousands of emails...

I can see it now. "ABC News has learned Foley molested over 20,000 pages last year alone!"

I would assume that with the FBI now involved, fake claims are going to be handled seriously. I would love to see fake claims outed to the public.

I don't know about that, so far Istook's campaign has been a prank, worst campaign ever. We have all been wondering why a bunch of (strange) California boys were running a campaign in Oklahoma. So far they've managed to insult us by portraying the citizens of OK as hicks. It's almost like a deliberate thing....but that couldn't be, could it?

Istook should not have made his statements yesterday. Pretty typical though. Talking before he has a clue. And yeah you're right.... the worst run campaign or governor that I remember.

Yes, it could. Howard Dean made it clear, last year, I think, that hub of ops would be out of California. Dem plans were to immediately seize control of the 7 states surrounding CA (Arnold blew that for them); But Dean and his allies have made invading the "RED States" their priority in their campaigns. The Dems have taken their temperatures of "what's important" to Red States.

Since I've moved here from CA, I've heard, ad nauseum, from NC natives -- why would you move HERE? "We all wanna live in celebrity land!".

I see the Dem Game plan.

And over the past two years, allies in the MSM presses have regularly published articles about the "backwardness" of the Southern States (as though holding nearly Bankrupt, Educationally bereft, Man-Boy Child Association California as the "uber" model of Utopia).

Why, in your opinion, did Istook hire "Californian's" to run his campaign? Any sense on this? Jordan, grad of UC Berkeley. It's about "linguistics". That's what Dems are up to. Using and promoting a newer vocabular set which will add a "zing" to the "hicks" and make them feel envious, so they'll come on board the Democrat Mothership.

Dems see Guv Arnold's platform and positioning, think they can take him and the Red States too.

Problem is, Dems have ONLY taken a superficial reading of both Guv Arnold and the Red States.

This could get fun.

The Rats and MSM want this to fade away pretty quickly but I want it to stay out there for a while longer just to show how dumb of an "October Surprise" this whole thing turned out to be.

In my post, above, I used the "fag" word and in quotes. This word is from the linguistic set used very commonly in San Francisco by younger gays referring to older gays. Am I abusing FR rules by posting that word here? (I don't like the word any more than I've always disliked the "N***er" "Sp**" or "C***" words; so I've never used them in any form of vocabulary except educational). But If I have abused FR rules, please delete my above post.

Interesting!
So Foley's gone now. But, still, the real story is the 'blackmail' threat still over the heads of the 20 other congresspersons.
That's the real subversion of our system.

http://www.misslaurensblackjack.com/burkharts.htm

This "Miss Lauren's Blackjack" appears to cater exclusively to gay bars. Tyson Vivyan is listed as a high scorer in a list from 2004 on the site, at Burkhart's Pub, an Atlanta gay bar. I can't imagine that there are too many individuals with such a unique name, and "the" Tyson Vivyan is now known to reside in Atlanta. There is also a dealer named Tyson on the site, but with no photo, unlike the other dealers.

At the time of my web search for the name, there were no hits at all on Google; I went to Dogpile and found the one hit to "misslaurensblackjack.com" by putting the name in without quotes. Don't you think it odd, that a former Congressional page would have so few hits in a web search? I think he was "wiped" prior to his appearance on O'Reilly, and they missed "Vivyan, Tyson." There are more hits now, from all the appearances he has made. But, two nights ago, that was not the case.

Wish I knew. I'm not the most "in" on this stuff, but there is a freeper who knows a lot about about it. Personally I am beginning to think Istook has been torpedoed and doesn't even know it. No one it their right mind would bring a bunch of Berkley grads (and both the campaign manager and assistant manager are from Berkley) and expect them to read Oklahoma politics. And they have done exactly what one would expect, they don't have a clue (or is that deliberate?). I thought Largent ran the worst campaign I ever saw, but this one brings incompetence to a new high.
