From combined dispatches The FBI's ongoing "assessment" to determine whether disgraced former Florida Rep. Mark Foley violated federal law is focusing, in part, on a 21-year-old former page working on a gubernatorial campaign in Oklahoma. Lawyer Stephen Jones, who represented convicted terrorist Timothy McVeigh, said yesterday that he been retained by the former page, Jordan Edmund, and was "reviewing" the matter.

It's dead Jim.

The RATS were caught again. This will go away very quickly.

Another former congressional page in Atlanta told the Associated Press yesterday that he had received sexually suggestive messages from Mr. Foley in 1997.

Tyson Vivyan's account appears to show the earliest exchange of suggestive messages reported between Mr. Foley and teens who had served in the Capitol page program. Previous accounts placed the earliest contacts in 2003.

IIRC, you had a link showing (a) Tyson Vivyan in Atlanta. Can you post it here again?

So let me get this straight - These emails and IM messages were basically a PRANK, a SETUP, gone awry? This is why this little smartass has to hire a lawyer because blackmail may be involved?

It's seems as though there are several layers to this trumped up "scandal"?

Ahhh... the "me too" chorus is amping up. Same thing happened with the RCatholic Priest thing.

And in Richmond, California whenever there was a plant failure, folks from all over the map would show up with their hands out for the green stuff saying "me too, I can't breathe either".

Tyson Vivyan is going to be doing the talk show circuit today, with a reported appearance on ABC's Good Morning America. He is another homosexual former page. He was on Neal Boortz' radio program yesterday, and on Chris Krok's radio program last night in Atlanta. He's a jerk, and would never say why he didn't report it until now. Take him with a huge block of salt.

Mr. Edmund is a campaign staffer for Oklahoma gubernatorial candidate Ernest Istook, a Republican.

This wasn't a prank.

This sounds like a he said, he said situation. I find it hard to believe someone would keep archived IM exchanges for nearly a decade.

I hope the FBI goes far beyond Jordan Edmund, and finds out which Democrat operative illegally leaked the private emails and Instant Messages to the press.

It's now starting to look like not a prank but a money making book deal for young Jordon Edmund.

Apparently the “prank‚” may lead to more revelations such as a “book deal” that some of pages were hoping to get, a kind of “Capital Hill 90210. What would “sauce” the offer up more than to have a “learing pervert congressman” in the script?

Macsmind

Macsmind provides an message board conversation from 2004 between pages talking about the book deal.

Also yesterday, several more pages came forward with accounts of purported misconduct by Mr. Foley. ABC News reported that three pages, one each from 1998, 2000 and 2002, described being subject to sexual advances from Mr. Foley over the Internet, sometimes in graphic terms. The network did not name these persons.

RELEASE THEIR NAMES, damnnit -- these are not RAPE (alleged) victims.

Oh oh... right. Feminist mantra: Words equal rape.

A local Atlatna talk radio host went on a rant about this fellow Tyson Vivyan. I think he spent three hours ragging on how phony the guy seems to be. All the callers were agreeing with the host. He said his show was contacted to see if they too wanted to interview Tyson. Apparently, young Tyson is a budding Biden or McCain. Show me the Camera!

this guy has McVeigh's lawyer?

isn't he the lawyer who's computer was hacked by media types revealing privileged conversations?
Wasn't McVeigh convicted and fried in record time?

sounds like a good choice to me...

ABC is using replies to a webform on their site as proof positive of these emails.

Respondents DO NOT have to leave name, phone number, address etc... Any KOS kid can write in with a story and it will not be verified but it will be reported

ROFL! It's really not funny; but ah.. it's like having the "dead" voting for Democrats. The Quota People (Dems) are really hung up on numbers. ABC will say.. we've received a MILLION EMAILS complaining over former Congressman Foley harassing them, too.

It's the "spurt" headline -- it's all the left wants. The "spurt" amounts to vital blood dripping away out of the organ of truth, spilling out over everyone so they "personalize" being harassed.

Guess their lawyer allied groups are demanding newer cases be "created" by the Dems so the Trial Lawyers Association can be obese and have the funds required of them to ensure Activist Leftists judges get "elected".

I just Googled Tyson Vivyan and one of the articles that came up has him quoted as saying that the exchanges were done with IM, although IM was generally invented in 1996, AOL didn't offer it until 1998.

I wonder what service provider he was using?

Last night there was some info about the e-mails being forged as well, or at least some of them. I read about it here in FR

aol ims can be faked by using copy and paste to include even placing someone's screen name on an instant message and then typing anything you want after the name.

In a statement Wednesday night, Mr. Istook asked the press to leave Mr. Edmund alone, saying, "It was a complete surprise to learn this morning that one victim may be someone I know.

"To every reporter, I request, please have the decency to avoid making things worse for the victims, and just leave them alone. This happened years ago when the victims were minors."

WTF? Jordan Edmund is a victim???
