Good thing colleges are a place where all viewpoints are tolerated and open to free discussion, else we'd think that Columbia was a Place of Fascist Learning.

So much for free speech. This is what the left would do if in power; spit in the face of the Constitution, as it were.

Columbia University should hang its head in shame; there should be a day of mourning for the death of the light of learning that was lighted in the Renaissance and the Reformation.

We are, people, in a new Dark Age. Don't be fooled by clever technology; the heart of man is deceitful above all, and still desperately wicked.

What the Reformation and Renaissance lighted, Columbia (and other universities) are extinguishing. Shame on Columbia and the rest of them. They are not seats of learning and they are not worthy to be called colleges.

A recent survey showed that the best and highest leaders in industry and commerce graduated from local and state colleges. It figures.

All done with tacit approval of the university administration. Why else would they take so long to get control of the situation? They are sending us a clear message that the truth is not wanted in their ivory-tower world.

Da*n the first amendment! As proven by this unamerican and subversive assault, this amendment is of no value to a conservative.I absolutely refuse to stand up for the right of ANYONE on the left to have free speech.I can only hope the next time a commie/socialist piece of trash tries to speak he or she is attacked.

Not to pick a nit, but this isn't "anarchy". It's fascism. Same thing Mussolini's thugs used to do.

Information is now out that the "protesters" were a socialist group.

This is another case where the children should be seen and not heard. The know-nothing students are there for a "happening," an opportunity to drown out their betters. They know absolutely nothing about which they are supposedly protesting.

Most of the students are receiving their education, such as it is, free. They haven't the wit to connect the fact that they are living in a country like America with the right of free speech and how important it is.

The students will all make good Democrats, provided they can read and write well enough to register to vote.

Columbia University is typical of today's colleges. They should be closed.

Prayers up for Mr. Gilchrist.

However, these boobs at Columbia chanting "no one is an illegal" have just by their very actions asserted that Mr. Gilchrist is an "illegal".

Pope Benedict/Islamofascist redux.

"No One Is Illegal."

I guess we'd better empty the jails then.

The irony of this is it was a faceoff between two groups on the extreme, one against any immigration and another in favor of unlimited immigration with no expectations of assimilation.

This confrontation took place in a building paid for and named after Al Lerner, a son of Russian immigrants who was a Marine Corps alumni, extremely successful in business, and a staunch Republican. A man whose life proved both of these groups wrong.

ONLY the Left pulls this kind of crap. And ironically they get a pass from a large percentage of the apolitical majority because , to stupid minds, from a distance, it translates as "passion". It is in fact, thuggery, no different at all from the bullying behavior of unionists
who rallied around every Clinton cause in the past 10 years, or the thugs on the waterfront from the halfcentury old movie of the same name.

Mexico's president's own National Action Party (http://www.pan.org.mx) is now working with its governors in Northern states near the U.S. border to pressure George Bush to veto the border wall. Details (in Spanish) are here:

http://www.el-universal.com.mx/notas/379772.html

These same people hypocritically haven't lifted a finger to make Mexico's own immigration laws less anti-gringo and racist against us down there:

http://www.directory.com.mx/immigration

What do they seek, a conquista of U.S. territory that Mexico claims because a few of its inhabitants relatively briefly occupied the land after they stole it from Spain (which stole it from indigenous tribes)?
