I have been looking for new Clancy book information for awhile now but haven't been able to find anything. My understanding was after his divorce his ex had rights to a portion of profits earned from any future books involving the Jack Ryan character, hence no more Jack Ryan. His last fiction book involved his son Jack Jr. but it wasn't the quality I expected from Clancy.

I think it will be a very long time until we see another Clancy (no ghost writer BS) fiction book. Let me know if you hear any news though.

OK, its probably just me, but I think any time the United States has sided with Islam, be it in Bosnia, Chechnya, or Afghanistan, was a mistake.

Yea, i've done some looking also and have come up empty. Wasn't aware about the deal with his ex-wife re Jack Ryan series. I don't know how much more he could have done with Jack Ryan anyway with him finishing up his presidency and all. I wasn't all that impressed with the Jack Jr. book either.

After reading Red Storm Rising (for the 4th time) last year, I'm convinced he could add to his fortune by writing some more of those type of solo novels

I think your right about the solo novels, especially with the way the world is today. North Korea, Iran, Terrorism, and the reemergence of Russia are all possibilities. Also I wouldn't mind seeing another character like Clark created and possibly made into a series. And by the way, the ghost written books are crap and do not count.
