Rep. Harold Ford, Jr., who wants to become a U.S. Senator from Tennessee, has sunk lower than a snake. He has defamed his grandmother, and his great-grandparents, by claiming that their lives were frauds and lies - that they were whites passing for Black.
There seem to be no limits to the young congressman's perfidy and stupidity. In the process of depicting his own ancestors as people living a lie, Ford has also insulted the Black public and Black history - not to mention common sense, a quality of which Harold Jr. seems to be totally lacking.
Ford's allegation, now mimicked by much of his highly political family, but never mentioned by any family member before the 35-year-old senatorial candidate casually smeared his grandmother in USA Today, in December, defies all reason. Grandmother Vera Ford, who died in 1994 at the age of 78, was the daughter of John Davis and Lottie McGinnis, both of whose death certificates list them as "Negro" - as skillfully reported by the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Wendi C. Thomas on March 19.
Lying about dead family members seems pretty low.

You have to remember this is the Black Commentator we're talking about. These folks have a huge chip on their shoulder when it comes to whites, conservatives, and blacks who serve in Republican administrations.

Thankfully the mother had one faithful daughter, who will hopefully tan the hide of her...errant...brother. What a disrespectful child, if this is true.
I'm glad this bass turd is finally getting the recognition he deserves.....hopefully this will play bigtime all across Tennessee, directed to the appropriate audiences.

There was no affirmative action back then, so no advantage in being white trying to pass for black, or it seems to me.
Anyway, he shouldn't be saying anything bad about his Grannie for crying out loud. Who bashes his Grannie???
Ford does have some white blood inhim, look at his eyes, but to say something like that about your own grandmother is terrible, i think he just made alot of blacks pretty darn mad! Wonder will this make the TV media...NOT!
Some psychologist needs to write an article to explain why people in TN are so attracted to this candidate. It does defy logic, but his opponent apparently stands for nothing.
