A former House page says he had sex with then-Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) after receiving explicit e-mails in which the congressman described assessing the sexual orientation and physical attributes of underage pages but waiting until later to make direct advances. The former page, who agreed to discuss his relationship with Foley with the Los Angeles Times on the condition that he not be identified, said his electronic correspondence with Foley began after he finished the respected Capitol Hill page program for high school juniors. His sexual encounter was in the fall of 2000, he said. At the time, he was 21 and a graduate of a rural Northeastern college.

No kidding. I heard this and thought that we are now into the realm of digging up gay liaisons on adult men. I am waiting to see how low the media will stoop. Every time I think I see the bottom of the barrel, the dems and the MSM prove me wrong.

Once again, the loved that dare not speak it's name (tltdnsin) is screaming at me from the television.
You know, Usually I encourage my kids to watch the news, at least Brit Hume's show and such, but for the past couple of weeks I've had to turn it off out of sheer embarrassment and the fact I really don't WANT to HAVE to explain some things to my 10 yr old yet. Between Mark "Do I make you horny" Foley and the Amish school shooter having KY Jelly, it's been a very x-rated newscycle.
When Ruth Buzzi was an ACLU lawyer she advocated that 12 be the age of consent.
It will continue. I would not be shocked if there are more October Surprise(s). I just hope the story that Karl Rove said he has one is true... Could they have released this too early for their nefarious purposes? It appears there is time to work on the damages done by this.

Well, when my television went on this morning, the first words I heard upon waking was Kyrin Chetry [sp?] saying "Bombshell in Foley case!" I remember it.
Dr. Dobson came out supporting Hastert and he has a great deal of influence in the Evangelical community. Christian conservatives are not stupid, and I predict this isn't going to keep people from the polls at all, nor will it cause them to vote democrat.
All of this talk and skewed polls are meant to create a mind set of defeatism in the Republican ranks.
I am not playing that game.
But it looks like I may be a minority around here.

This would be a great time to clean house on both sides of the isle and, let the hammer fall where it may.
The page program was a great tool in teaching young people who are interested in politics but, it has been as all other government programs, unsupervised and, a loss of control and
management.

The most disgusting part was that he went home and hugged a little 9 year old girl named Chelsea. Can someone tell me what Hillary did to protect her child from this predator?? She's now talking about protecting my children and grandchildren?

This Foley scandal is a "smokescreen". It's really about setting the stage for Hillary...so that the private life of Bubba won't matter. It's heterosexual, ya know, that's not perversion, ya know.
Remember, Hillary has ALREADY said: "If he does it again, it will be treated as a private matter."
The media has already hit rock bottom this election, and they've got 3 weeks to go.
The page program is quite well supervized. Are you forgetting that all of this stuff happened AFTER the pages left Washington? Or are you deliberately trying to confuse people and contribute to defeatism?

According to Tucker Carlson this morning on Chris Matthews Sunday Show, the shoe is about to drop on a heterosexual congressman who "abused" pages. Matthews seemed to know who Tucker was talking about.
I read about a list of closeted republican homosexuals that will be released. I believe David Corn is connected to the list.
