I don't think this is necessarily bad.
We do NOT want the go along to get along country club politicians of the Trent Lott type that OReilly is advocating.
We WANT the folleys removed.
We WANT the McCAins to feel uncomforable and surrounded by conservatives.

Samantha - I have no doubt that Foley was a good congressman for your district. I've seen him many times on TV - on the floor, at hurricanes, on talk shows and he always impressed me- - -well spoken and appeared to be a good congressman that really cared about his district and constituents. I'm so disappointed and sick about the whole thing - - i can only imagine what you must be going through. I pray that Negron will be elected as I think he'd serve you and your district well.

Since you now have a talk show, you have a responsibility to not run off on rumor.
There is ZERO evidence that Hastert had any red flags before they brought those e-mails to him. If there were rumors Foley was gay, what was he supposed to do? Have him tailed? (How would you explain THAT in the House budget?) Tell him because people thought he was gay he couldn't contact FORMER pages?
Casual comments like the one you just made are causing problems for the GOP, and they are NOT accurate.
As Old Friend says, you are bashing our leadership...which is "our troops."
Unless this is a case like they claim RI is -- a true conservative can't win. I hope he pulls it out in the next 30 days.. he was far superior to Casey in the debate on Russert's show.

I have been truly offended by Kerry and Kennedy and, even more so, the DBM, blithely turning the term "Swiftboating" into a synonym for sleazy politics. I'd like to start using "to Kennedy" as a synonym for murder by DWI. Kerry and Fonda are both verbs that are synonyms for treasonous acts. "To Cronkite" is to lie to a nation. "To Rather" is to lie ineptly. "To Clinton" someone is to molest them. A "Barney" is a call boy prostitution ring. A "Hillary" is a murder in Fort Marcy Park.
Etc., Etc.
I know this will sound crazy- coming from me today- LOL!
BUT- I actually think Foley showed great character in the way he handled the blackmail attempted against him by the Mike Rogers Gay Nazi.....
Foley also wanted to resign as soon as he realized that he was a target and might cause trouble for the party due to his actions....
Yes- he has disappointed me- and his behavior towards the pages was wrong... but he made some good and bold moves too...
I saw Negron on FOX and was quite impressed with him....

BTW-I hope the FBI puts Harold Ford, Jr under oath. He said that the Republicans were harboring child molesters.
Since the Foley situation doesn't involve children or molestation- Ford should go to the authorities, posthaste.

"Are the Democrats upset because this involves gay men ? "
" The Democrat party is responsible for the law making a man of 18 legally able to be the bride and or groom in a gay marriage in Massachusetts."
"Yet, the Democrats are hyperventilating and calling gay men " child molesters " because Foley and Jordan ,
who are both over 18 and quite possibly in love ( " I miss you, kiss, kiss " )
could be planning a gay marriage in Massachussets !! "
