I write to urge you to watch the Coral Ridge Hour in your area tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 to experience the profound message of Dr. D. James Kennedy on "Remembering Our Foundations" as Americans."
Dr. Kennedy's message is one of the most erudite, eloquent, educative and inspiring true statements of the values of our Founding Fathers and the truths of our American heritage that I have heard, seen, or read.
Further, this Coral Ridge Broadcast includes a feature: A documentary on the ACLU,which recently named Dr. D. James Kennedy the "Most Dangerous Man In America."
The feature on the ACLU includes statements from some of the most knowledgeable Americans as to truths of the ACLU, including Alan Sears, head of the Alliance Defense Fund and co-author of "The ACLU vs. America," a must-read book if the nature of ACLU's fanatical litigation against American values is to be understood -- and defeated.
I am proud and grateful that the Alliance Defense Fund, which now has close to 1,000 pro bono attorneys nationwide, is providing pro bono legal representation in our Defense of Veterans Memorials Project of The American Legion Department of California and the Alliance Defense Fund.
It is through the Project, and because of the working relationship we have with the ADF, that the American Legion Department of California have been able to participate in the litigation in defense of the Mt. Soledad National War Memorial and the multiple suits attacking it by the ACLU and cohorts.
The Coral Ridge documentary feature on the ACLU provides a great deal of truthful information to counter the disinformation of the ACLU generally, and in particular its efforts to defeat passage of the Veterans Memorials, Boy Scouts, Public Seals And Other Public Expressions of Religion Act (PERA), H.R. 2679, sponsored by Rep. John Hostettler (R-Ind.), which passed the House by a vote of 244 to 173, and PERA, S. 3696, sponsored by Sen. San Brownback (R-Kan.) which was not brought up for action in the Senate before the election recess.
The American Legion and many other grass roots organizations, including Coral Ridge Ministries Center For Reclaiming America led by Dr. Gary Cass -- who delivered almost 200,000 petitions to Congress in support of PERA -- are continuing to call for passage of PERA in the 109th Congress after the elections, which are, of course, crucial.
The American Legion is continuing to work -- and working hard -- during the entire election recess and campaign season, for passage of PERA in the 109th Congress.
Indeed, every Member of the House and Senate should be put on the spot as they campaign for re-election as to where they stand on PERA -- i.e., whether they stand with The American Legion and American taxpayers against the ACLU and for PERA; or whether they stand with the ACLU and support taxpayer-dollars being handed to the ACLU by like-minded judges in ACLU's myriad Establishment Clause lawsuits to destroy American values.
Dr. Kennedy's message is powerful and profound evidence of why it is necessary for all Americans to take a stand against the ACLU's assault on American values -- including taking action to pass PERA in the 109th Congress.
Please, then, "check your local listings," watch the Coral Ridge Hour on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2007, hear Dr. Kennedy's message on "Remembering Our Foundations," see the documentary exposing the ACLU -- and then take action to fight against the ACLU, and for PERA, H.R. 2679 in the House, S. 3696 in the Senate.

I just finished reading George Washington's Sacred Fire by Peter Lillback and I recommend it to everyone. I have a new appreciation for the man himself, the strength of purpose and courage of our founding fathers, and the Christian principles upon which our country was founded. America is truly special and blessed by God and the ACLU is doing their best to strip us of our religious history and our religious rights. The Pilgrims did NOT come here because they "liked to travel"!
George Washington: "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor" (Thanksgiving Proclamation, October 3, 1789)
Continental Congress 1774:
"... it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve these civil and religious rights and liberties for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations."
Dr. Kennedy is wonderful! I recommend highly his radio program "Truths that Transform" and the Coral Ridge hour. We record it every Sunday so we can watch it after we get back from church. Nobody beats Kennedy when it comes to moral clarity!
