Things are turning. The worse is behind us. Now to repair the damage and get back ahead with a strong push back. Do you think Rove did not expect this? Do you think the party that has out smarted the rat for all these years has nothing left with a month to go?

I don't. I think with the North Korean bomb situation and the foley "well" apparently drying up, this falls off the radar and when the rat wakes up a week from now he will find he has gained nothing but lost some fence sitters who are disgusted with this whole thing and them, not the GOP. The NYT article on the Evangelicals sticking with us talks about many interviews being done. I'll bet, and you and I know why. But they STILL couldn't find the pull quote they were looking for.

Now to repair the damage..

Our side does a SHI**Y job of getting the truth out there. That will be our downfall. You heary nary a rebuttal to even the most obscene accusations from the left.

We're inside of 30 days until the midterm elections...WHEN will they start to speak out?

The rats must gain back some power or lose their constituents. Already, many "African-Americans" are saying the Democrats aren't doing anything for them and they are right... they aren't because the rats are not in power. Gys will get upset that gy marriage isn't being pushed in the courts fast enough.

If the rats don't get the House or the Senate, watch for the democratic party to splinter and degrade.

Tony Perkins, trying to be Holier Than Thou, was calling for Hastert's resignation....how idiotic. The Democrats have forced GAYS on us like they are normal...they are not...all they think about is the way they have sex...it's disgusting.

The Dems want GAy Boy Scout LEADERS..LEADERS!!! and the ACLU is fighting for NAMBLA to get the age of consent lowered so more men can have sex with younger and younger boys!!! DOUBLE DISGUSTING!!

I haven't talked to one GOP voter that has changed their minds about voting GOP. Of course, things are looking good for the GOP here in GA.

Jmarone, you know who your friends are when they stand tall even during bleak moments in time. It is refreshing too see your support of the GOP while other Weak need Republicans freak out about irrelevant Scandals and jump ship. As we saw with the Lunatics in North Korea today, America needs to support the fight for National Security, not engage in liberal media Democrat smear campaigns..

Do you want to put your money where your mouth is? I can see the Republicans holding the House and Senate but I absolutely think you're bananas to expect net gains. I've got a friendly $10 saying they dont which I will gladly send to you or contribute to FR if we see a Republican net gain in seats in either the House or Senate.

The GOP gaining seats is just plain wishful thinking, steeped in denial. There is nothing to back up that fanciful conjecture, sorry.

ur optimism is refreshing. but....

the internationalist left has the newspapers, the courts, other media....they have been in the schools for generations.....have been working in congress for generations....and the most important of all, they promise everyone an opening of the federal treasury to the point of absurdity. (a sure recipe for victory)

they have all the time in the world...they are leftist religious zealots and dangerous ones at that.

SOmething else that's not talked about, there are TWO seats in Georgia in which the Republican candidates are beating the Democrat incumbants!!! That is huge, and for all the talk about Foley and DeLay's seats, the media doesn't even mention the two where the Republicans are beating the Democrat incumbants. And it's not a sure thing that DeLay and Foley's seats will go for the Democrats. Shelly Sekula-Gibbs is a very conservative well known well liked woman running for DeLay's seat in Sugar Land outside of Houston, and she was ahead of the liberal jerk only two days after she entered the race, and he'd been campaigning for MONTHS. And Foley's replacement is well liked and the idea that people will vote for the Democrat, checking their conservative values at the door, or just not vote, and let a liberal take the seat, I think that's foolish at best, and assumes that conservatives don't really care about their values, and the past five elections have proved otherwise. The Democrats will do good to just pick up some seats. They won't win either House, and with the Democrats weakness on all major issues, and with the nuclear test in North Korea now, it's more likely that the GOP will hold the same in both Houses, or pick up seats. Conservatives don't just not vote, and they don't forget their values.

Thank you, jmaroneps37, for your homework on all this.

All the naysayers here seem simply to base their objections on the results of polls--a fatal flaw, IMHO. I don't believe polls. With all their oversampling of RATS and push polling questions, they are merely appendages of the Drive By Media (which itself is an appendage of the RAT party) designed to discourage us. I refuse to be polled--I don't trust them. I'll bet a lot of conservatives feel the same.

All this poll fiction keeps the RATS deluded, too... Then, they're shocked at ACTUAL election results. For example, I think Steele gets huge black vote crossover in MD--STUNNING the RATS, and announcing a nationwide trend that will kill the RAT party in the long run.

Here's how I see the Senate: we pick up NJ and MD, and perhaps lose one of either RI or PA. Then, we pick up at least one of MN, WA, and MI, and perhaps lose one of OH, MO, MT (MT, most likely of those three). Bottom line: we gain one to three seats. Also, I think Florida could be a huge surprise (not counting on it; just saying it's out there)... The FL GOP is strong, and since Nelson is the only statewide RAT office holder, their vote may be depressed.

The media polls are designed to discourage and de-motivate us. Fortunately for the country, the electorate determines the winners.
