Ford leads the RCP average by eight tenths of a percent. Out of the last six polls in Tennessee, 3 have Ford leading between 1 and 5 points, one has a tie, and two have Corker up between 1 and 2 points. This race is on razor's edge right now.

Rush just stated the ford is collapsing in internal polling.

Good news. I haven't heard anything about Frist's replacement as leader...who becomes Majority Leader in January?

The lack of news about Talent-Mckaskill tells a lot, too. Talent by 5...

Ford may have been given a big boost by Frank Cagle, an influencial conservative political analyst in Knoxville. He endorsed Ford in order to punish RINO's!

I agree. The GOP will be out in force to keep this seat on election day.

Punish Rinos by putting a corrupt liberal in the Senate? That makes sense. He has chosen the losing horse which should end his era as a "influencial conservative politcal analyst".

This race is on razor's edge right now.

That is if you ignor the Harvey Gantt effect and believe all the polled are equally willing to tell pollster that they will vote against a black candidate.

I suspect Ford will do worse than he polls and I suspect Blackwell, Steele and Swann as black Republicans may have a opposite Harvey Gantt effect and do better than they poll.

Good news. I haven't heard anything about Frist's replacement as leader...who becomes Majority Leader in January?

I heard on Fox News awhile ago that it would be Mitch McConnell.

I've also heard that Trent Lott is trying to get his old job back.

Right now I put the odds at:
McConnell 70% Lott 20% Other 10%

Those odds are for Majority Leader only and based on my opinions/observations. They do not apply if we lose the majority (won't happen), then anything could happen.

I hope Rush is right. Ford is as liberal as the day is long. He may try to talk "conservative" but look at his voting record. Should he win, I will blame Frist for bailing out at the wrong time.

Prolly just me - but I have a sense that Corker's support is thin. The only thing he has going for a lot of us is the R by his name.

Most of us outside Chattanooga had never heard of him before he poured MILLIONS of his money into the primary.

Just wait, before the election there will be a major push that has bredesen, ned ray and every state RAT "leader" saying how terrible it would be if we don't elect the crooked little SOB and the only reason would be because he's black. Race card politics at its finest

Addendum: McCain currently runs the Senate, making the Majority Leader job pretty thankless.
