"Actually, it's his wife's late husband."
Yep...her late REPUBLICAN husband!

"Congress members and top officials in the executive branch must file forms covering the preceding calendar year that list their assets and liabilities, their income (excluding their government salaries, oddly), asset transactions, gifts they received and more. They need not list property unless it produces income (so their primary residence is generally not listed), but they must include the source of their spouse's income."
which means the numbers by Kerry's name probably don't REALLY belong to him ?

Kerry is rich until she dumps him!
That's what the last wife did and he lived in an apartment and drove a used car.

Actually, it is not worth now how much cash they have in the bank.
I wonder how McCain made all that money?
To: trumandogz; dennisw

While Kohl's family started the business, they sold out long before the company became the operation it is today. Most of his money came from real estate.
If anything, these numbers understate net worth. The numbers for Herb Kohl have to be off by a factor of two. He has $200 million in equity in the Milwaukee Bucks, which he purchased for under $20 million. That doesn't count his real investments.

I kind of doubt it. This probably just includes monies that are in his name. The Kennedy Trust must be quite loaded unless Teddy drank it all up.

I remember (wink). I was on Hannity's board alot during the 2004 election and was one of the biggest Kerry detractors and 'opposition diggers' on there...LOL
Kerry actually made me more sick than Bill Clinton (if that is possible)!!
To: Prost1
Damn, i need to get in that line of
work. And Hard Work it must be.
To: dennisw
It's a sad day when a Rockefeller can finish no better than seventh on a list of richest people.

Kohl, Rumsfeld, and Cheney: I don't mind them because I know that they earned their own money before they came to DC. The others either got rich off of insider deals in DC, or they got money from their spouses or parents. Either way they didn't earn it themselves, so they don't know what it means to work for a living.

they include Rumsfeld as a "politician", but leave off Clinton who shares a net worth with her hubby of several hundred millions
Just asking, how did the Clintons get all the money, and how much do they have

corruption, kickbacks, etc, of course
latest estimates as a couple are about 400+ million. I think her "admission" for Senate rules is about 100 million.

How did McCain get so rich? His second and current wife, Cindy, IIRC is an heir to a beer distributing fortune.
Also, does anybody know where Lincoln Chaffee got his money? I'm surmising it's inherited.
