The clash will put Muslim athletes at a disadvantage as they will be expected to fast from sunrise to sunset for the entire duration of the Games.

Too frickin bad. One's religion requires you to make sacrifices. I'd consider someone who claims to be devout yet who wants to reschedule an Olympic event so he won't be penalized due to beliefs he willing holds a hypocrite of the highest order.

It's like saying "I will sacrifice for my God, but I don't want to sacrifice if it costs me something important."

I see the Muslims are celebrating Ramadan again this year with bombings, beheadings, and the slaughter of innocents.

Muslims' anger as London Olympics clash with Ramadan

To save precious newspaper space, maybe we should only report the one or two stories a year that begin: "Muslims Pleased and Happy..." ;)

"The clash will put Muslim athletes at a disadvantage as they will be expected to fast from sunrise to sunset for the entire duration of the Games."

Hogwash. The "Religion of Peace" allows them to skip the fast if they are travelling, but they must make it up later.

Besides, you're right. Being in the Olympics is not some Allah-given right. Religion requires sacrifice. Choose: Ramadan fast (which can be delayed!) or the Olympics.

The world is not Muslim... yet.

Compare and contrast:

Buncha whingers. But the Brits have changed a lot since the 1924 Olympics. Bet they'll cave.

Just issue them a waiver in a form of a fatwa.

We have major sporting events on Christmas and Easter.
I don't recall Christans complaining.
Mussies suffer from low self-esteen with their religion.

Frankly, I think the MSM are doing us a service, though not intentionally, by reporting every one of these protests. I hope people start to realize that first it's cartoons, then it's going to be something else. These folks seem to think the rest of the world has to accomodate them. The appeasers may feel they have to comply, but we are Americans--you come here and YOU can do your own thing, but don't expect ME to have to join you. (I know this story is about the Olympics in the UK, but this trend is coming here, too.)

That's what I like about the Muzzies. Every week, there's something new to be offended about.

It's all concocted to end Saudi dominance of the Olympics.
