If they can lie to promote their religion, excuse them to go to strip clubs before killing people, some cleric can excuse them for this.
The english have given them too much outrage permission.

I guess I need someone to explain why it is not ok to participate in the Olympics during Ramadan, but it is ok to blow up women and children in the name of Allah the merciful.

"and, from our international bureau, BBC reports that they are still angry and rioting, and seem unlikely to stop at any time soon".

I am hard pressed to say whether I have more contempt for the Muslims or for the Olympics. I guess, since they don't actually have Beheading as an Olympic sport, I have to hand the title of "Most Despised" to the Mohammedans. But the Olympics are right behind.
Let them tear each other apart, I say! After the Celebration of Everything That Is Wonderful About China in the 2008 Olympics, it is not like there will be anything nobel about the Olympics anymore (if there ever was).

I recall articles about Hakeem Olajuwon playing during ramadan in his career with the Houston Rockets. He adjusted his diet, and seemed to do pretty well. Don't remember him asking the NBA to change their schedule for him...

Fast or no fast, I still favor them to win the artistic beheading and suicide vest relay races.

True.
They will no doubt take the gold in the stoning of women event, as well.
