Lolich is still baking, as far as I know. McClain is out and commentating on the morning show on WRIF.

My son is 19 years old and practically grew up in Tiger Stadium. 12 straight years of losing seasons has been tough but, we kept going to the park and hoping. It's great, at last, to be able to see him experience winning.

I was a young fool standing outside at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull, 22 years ago this very night when the Tigers last won the World Series in '84.

How long before Detriot riots

Won't happen. This isn't football or basketball.

My worst playoffs memory is the I-70 series.

NBC's as well.

You just "figure they will", right? Detroit won the NBA title a couple of years ago, and no riots.

I was there too ... that was a great night!!!

Only better time was the Wings cup win in '97.

Would anyone notice a difference if they were ;)

As a Michigander I would take offense to that comment, newbie, but it's true.  =)

After the way their regular season ended, I never expected them to survive the first round.

Jim Leyland must have had some magic words and the players clearly love their manager.

and your capacity for talking out your buttocks about a city that your not from or, have probably never been to, doesnt make you any better than i,'

so perhaps you should quit while your ahead, if you can read english (and obviously you can,) then how i type on my keyboard capitalization or otherwise should not matter

Go Tigers!

I was at game 4 in 68 and at game 3 in 84. I don't think I'll get to any game this time, but if my nerves can take it I'll be watching on TV.

if you can read english (and obviously you can,)

And I can read your drivel, too. What's your point, little fella?

My suggestion would be for you to drink a couple more beers and pass out.

Incidentally, he said something true about Detroit.

What? That some people burned a car in Detroit 22 years ago? And that 6 Detroit teams have won titles since then without any car burning incidents, yet people are still generalizing because some idiots set one car on fire one generation ago?

I was there today. There was no riot. There was no burning. There was nothing bad going on at all, just people running around slapping hands and hugging. Generalizations about a city should be based on actual facts, not ancient memories.

havent drank any in over 8 hours. and that was a can of bud light.

your insults are much like the yankee's starting lineup, theyll swing at anything, yet can't hit a damn thing.
