Now, now there will be none of that. Detroit does better with that problem with every win. lol. I visited my hometown this past summer and the ballpark looks great and downtown is awesome. Not like old days at all.

What a fantastic game!

Raffey was a BIG crowd favorite here...and his wife was almost as famous as he was....she would talk on our sports talk radio station all of the time.

I hate what happened in the end.

How long before Detriot riots

I think you mean, how long before they riot more than they do on a daily basis.

I was sitting at the bar at Carrabba's tonight when Ordo#ez won it. This Motown Boy went bonkers! I know Cardinal4 would like to see a repeat of 1968. I listened to the 1968 series on Far East Network from my quarters in Japan. Cardinal4 was an 18-month old toddler at the time.

This is a morale booster for an area that really needs it with the Big Three choking.

This significant achievement by the Tigers organization will be totally lost on too many in the Detroit metro area.......who have no interest in anything other than the latest street thuggishness of the NBA.

I offer no apologies for this statement. Truth is truth.

With Ernie, all you needed was a cheap clock radio. His voice came through in Digital Stereo. He was the best.

He was in the booth for one of the ESPN radio broadcasts for an inning or so during the series with Oakland. I hope they invite him to call an inning or two for the WS, although he is probably too humble to do it now. "I don't want to be a pest", and all that.

Ernie spent a couple of innings in the booth during one of the games against the Yankees. He sounded good, just like always.
