It is NOT true about Detroit...THAT was the issue. Detroit hasn't "rioted" due to winning any of our major sports achievements in the last several years: Red Wings, Pistons, etc. Don't know what people are talking about.
What? That some people burned a car in Detroit 22 years ago? And that 6 Detroit teams have won titles since then without any car burning incidents, yet people are still generalizing because some idiots set one car on fire one generation ago?
I was there today. There was no riot. There was no burning. There was nothing bad going on at all, just people running around slapping hands and hugging. Generalizations about a city should be based on actual facts, not ancient memories.
