I suppose there can be coexistence with non-doctrinaire Muslims as a subculture (see Dearborn, MI, though it's very clear that not nearly all of those Muslims are free from Islamism) but how in the world could any non-Muslim nation think that Muslims would ever wish to be "assimilated" into their national culture?
