Hillary Dinged By Dowd As 'Dreaded Eventuality'

Be it her politics - or perhaps her personality - one thing is clear. Some big-time MSM women columnists don't dig Hillary. Yesterday I described here how the LA Times Rosa Brooks described Hillary - in the context of her support for legislation authorizing torture in ticking-bomb type cases - as having "hit bottom"and "fallen as low as it's possible to go."

Today Maureen Dowd weighs in - with a vengeance. The central thesis of the subscription-required Obama’s Project Runway is that the Illinois senator needs to decide whether he is content to be the glamor guy basking in Dem adulation, or wants to get serious and run for president. [On a related note, earlier today I posed the question here as to whether Obama is ready for prime time in light of his suggestion on last night's Olbermann that we should encourage Iran and Syria to "take ownership" for the stability of Iraq.]

In any case, along the way, Dowd offers this trenchant take:

"Mr. Obama’s main accomplishment so far is sending a chill through Hillary Clinton, the Democrats’ dreaded eventuality."

Ouch!

It's a given that Dowd wouldn't like Hillary. Dowd doesn't like chicks in general, although she should consider it since she's not doing too well in man department.

Meow.

I've been predicting it for months: Hillary will not be the 2008 Dem presidential candidate.

"Hillary Clinton, the Democrats’ dreaded eventuality"

I hope that for the Democrats it will be like receiving a French kiss from their grandmothers.

Let's see....what a choice the Democrats give us.

A psychotic, power mad, phony, felonious b_tch who persecuted the women her husband raped.

Or a pea brained goof who lied about his Muslim roots, his Muslim father, his Muslim stepfather, and the Muslim school he went to---and who now supports infanticide, gun confiscation, health care rationing, and racial preferences (for all races except whites of course).

And the MSM tells us Jeb Bush is controversial?

Just one bitter harridan snarking at another. It's a form of marking territory, like spraying.

If the left hates her and the right hates her, who votes for her?

When a party's best offerings are Hillary or Obama -- the party is worse than sick..

It's also an indication of how depraved the nation has become.

Good question. In fairness, she continues to enjoy a large lead in polls among Dem primary voters. But I don't see that holding up. As the election approaches and Dems realize she cannot win the general they will turn to someone else.

Maureen has always been very jealous of hillary over bill. Personally, I'd like to see a steel-cage death match knife fight between hillary and mo.

Dreaded eventuality? Interesting observation, Ms. Dowd.

Even if Ms. Dowd doesn't care for Hillary Rodham, after Hillary wins the Dem nomination, Maureen will obediently fall inline with her fellow-traveling MSM chums, and do all she can to elect Hillary president. She dares not stray from the left-wing "plantation" (to use a Hillary term.)

What continually amazes me is how little actual freedom newspeople have. Their writing is tightly constrained within rigid PC and ideological limits; and, if they were to attempt to stray from the approved message, their careers might just do a u-turn.

Ironically, they are among the first to feel the shackles of the miraculous global collective commune that they continually nudge us toward.

One fine day, perhaps a few of them will notice this and publish a truly enlightening book.
