Thanks for posting the terrible reality of the CNN snuff films where our young warriors were killed by an Islamofascist sniper. Then CNN tried to make that snuff film into one of their hate America and our military people pseudo news stories.

Our Dish Satellite was installed over 6 years ago. I had the installer show me how to block CNN from ever showing on our tv. It was the right move then and now is the moral move to make.

Please ping your pro military lists so they can read about this vile action of CNN.

Any cable or satellite subscriber can block CNN (all forms) from being viewed on their tv. That is the correct and morally right option. Allowing CNN to be viewed is backing their hate America and our military bs on tv.

We said NO to CNN a long time ago, Grampa Dave.

I recently started watching Glenn Beck (and that's all) on
that channel, but unfortunately I won't be watching that
show anymore.

If he goes over to FOX; I'll watch him again.

Well then I feel extra slighted! They've ignored me the jerks.

Maybe they got sick of answering all of yours? I sent mine yesterday (might have been day before) at around 2100. They've had plenty of time...

I agree Dave, CNN ought to be called in before a Federal magistrate for collaborating with the enemy. Freedom of the Press is one thing; acting in concert with enemies of the US and airing the deaths of US service personnel is treasonous. CNN has crossed the line.

Al Jazeera and all its affiliates should be immediately expelled from Iraq. CNN should be brought up on charges of 'Giving aid and comfort to the enemy'.

Print this story and give it to any business you deal with which shows CNN. Ask them to turn it off!

Excellent suggestions on how to handle CNN.

If every Freeper blocked CNN from being seen on their cable or satellite, that would be a great start.

Every military family should do the same thing.

Then we can go to your suggestions.

And CNN's advertisers need to be called to account for supporting/enabling this.

"CNN's advertisers need to be called to account for supporting/enabling this."

Every advertiser, who paid ad money for this snuff video to be shown should demand their money back, an apology from CNN and then demand the firing of every so called News Personnel involved with this vile snuff film video be fired.

If the advertisers don't do this, their names need to be publicized so we can do the same to them that we did to French owned companies.

I won't watch CNN, but if anyone can put a list of sponsors together I will contact all of them whose products I use and tell them I'm boycotting until they remove their sponsorship of CNN.

Boycotts work if you tell the company you're boycotting them and why.

Good idea - but I never watch CNN - so have no idea who their sponsors are.

Check this out.

CNN Launches Events Division

From the link...

CNN has a new events division, under the advertising sales department, that will put on panels, conferences and meetings on newsmaking and newsworthy subjects. The network's reporters and anchors will serve as speakers and moderators.

The CNN Inspire Summit, the new division's inaugural event, is next week and is sponsored by L'Oreal, The New York Times reports. It will salute women for achievements in fields like politics, medicine and philanthropy. A second CNN event, planned for next month, will focus on small business and will be sponsored by United Parcel Service.

CNN advertisers will sponsor the events and also be acknowledged on invitations. CNN executives say sponsors will have no control over the content of the events.

Nevertheless, the practice of inviting advertisers to take part in events produced by the news media raises some questions. Attendees, The NY Times writes, may wonder if advertisers influence who appears on a panel or the topic the panelists discuss. CNN says it decides on event subject matter before opening it to advertisers.

CNN did not name sponsorship costs but says they are sold as part of packages that marketers like L'Oreal and United Parcel are buying across CNN, including television, the Internet, news provided through cellphones and podcasts.

Sounds like L'Oreal and UPS would be good for starters.

Hey, if "goatboy" can be charged with treason for being a mouthpiece for sand nazi scum, I see no reason why Ted Turncoat could not be gibbeted for being an even worse kind of scumbag (oops! would that be considered violent?). They only difference between goatboy and teddy the turncoat is a bar of soap and a set of clean duds.

That decision -- in fact, all the decisions about this story -- were subject to hours of intense editorial discussion at the highest levels here at CNN. The insurgent videotapes were reviewed very carefully, not only by CNN journalists, but also with the advice and guidance of a recently retired US Marines sniper and CNN's military analyst, Brigadier General David Grange (Retired). In particular, General Grange was able to advise on the significance of the insurgent use of snipers from his extensive service as a Ranger, Green Beret, and as a member of Delta Force.

Thanks, mewzilla. I'm a consumer of both companies. Actually, I was a consumer. I'll call and email both in the a.m. and tell them why I no longer am.

If any news agency were to respond to an Amber Alert, follow and record the event, without notifying authorities, for sensational coverage, would they be held accountable for aiding and abetting a felon?

If any news agency participates in the recording of any arranged felony for the purpose of enhancing their ratings and subsequent financial gain such an event would produce, would they be conspirators to the felony and risk prosecution?

Toss out the hypothetical. I think you get the point. CNN did this deed and aired it. Since the victims were US military personnel on foreign soil, CNN seems to feel free to do as they please and claim 1st Amendment rights to do so. Was the sniper wearing a uniform of a nation which we are at war with or a mercenary murderer acting in affiliation with a terrorist group? On this, CNN's motive can be suspect either way.

Post a list of the sponsors' addresses too. That way we all can send letters.
