If you feed, house, and clothe your enemy while you are fighting them you will probably lose.

It's "permanent" only if they allow it to be.

I dunno- that 2005 record looks untouchable unless they put on a real good second effort for the last few months. What's Vegas saying?

Seems to me that France is in the middle of a civil war.

Larger, more mainstream police unions sharply disagree that the suburban unrest has any religious basis. You can't get more naive than that. - Tom

On Sunday, a band of about 30 youths, some wearing masks, forced passengers out of a bus in a southern Paris suburb in broad daylight Sunday, set it on fire, then stoned firefighters who came to the rescue, police said. No one was injured. Two people were arrested, one of them a 13-year-old, according to LCI television. These French citizens need to fight back. Teenagers armed with stones should not wield this kind of power over a busload of passengers. You can't always wait for police or firefighters to rescue you from an enemy in your face right now.

How about they deport the bastards to whatever third world Hell they came from?
Oddly enough, I think England (and France)are starting to get with the program.
Hopefully, we won't be as slow to learn.

The 2,400 number was just the first 6 months. That would extrapolate to more than 4,800 for 2006. The record does not look "safe".

On a routine call, three unwitting police officers fell into a trap. A car darted out to block their path, and dozens of hooded youths surged out of the darkness to attack them with stones, bats and tear gas before fleeing. One officer was hospitalized, and no arrests made. The recent ambush was emblematic of what some officers say has become a near-perpetual and increasingly violent conflict between police and gangs in tough, largely immigrant French neighborhoods that were the scene of a three-week paroxysm of rioting last year. There is a certain point at which, logically and scientifically speaking, one is inexorably led to the conclusion that they just enjoy throwing rocks at and maiming non-Muslims.
To: Sub-Driver
Could not imagine that happening in my neighborhood here in Houston......until I thought about the Katrina evacuees who have increased the murder rate about 25%. When you have an understaffed police force, it seems an influx of bad apples can cause problems just about anywhere.

That's not naivete, it's a survival technique brought on by cowardice, aka dhimmitude. And these are the people charged with public protection.

To all
What the French need to do is recall a Foreign Legionnaire unit from its overseas posting and then use the police to seal the area off from reporters.
Soon all will be well.
