The only downside to it that I have found is being mistaken for a liberal by those who don't know me.The Chef where I work is an avid hockey player and his screen name for his online warfare game is "dirty left-wing" and you wouldn't believe some of the comments he gets. LOL

Clooney's rep, publicist Stan Rosenfield, tells TMZ, "You clearly have no understanding of certain people's need for private transport," and points out that Clooney often has "no control" over his travel schedule Hey, cloooney, "certain people's needs" are no more important than the needs of those of us who are "mere" people.

On a serious note that's too bad. I know that everyone has their own opinion and that's good but it does make it difficult when you are are at such odds. Nevertheless I'm sure you love your brother and he loves you and that's how it should be.

I love him. I'm going to send him a birthday card tomorrow.
I just can't have much conversation with him. He believes in gnomes and fairies. For real. He thinks Noam Chomsky is America's greatest intellectual.
We can talk about weather and football. That's about it.

I think the only one who isn't a hypocrite is Ed Begley Jr. He is a true believer. He lusts over the fact that he only creates enough garbage per week, to fit in his glove compartment. I think he composts everything else, or recycles.
But that is it. The others are full o crap sitting in their 10,000 square feet mansions air conditioned to the hilt, off on private jets while lecturing us on being wasteful.

My (BDS-suffering) neighbor does...
Yes, the editorial comment is for real - why do Moonbats never take the time and effort to do these hate-filled projects neatly?
Note: I did blur-out his license plate info to protect the poor delusional sap's privacy.

Ha! Ha! That's a great shot!

In the air: Chicago/LA, 1,749 miles in a private jet, the route she took with Rupert Everett while shooting "My Best Friend's Wedding." Gas guzzled: 2,100 gallons of jet fuel. And that was just one trip...

Not at all. Worse. He's a teacher in the California school system.
But he's married with two kids.

What's wrong with having an apartment over the store? That's even better, but they are Hollywood types, so that's more than they could handle. ;-)

It's hard to tell, but is he parked in front of someone's drive AND too close to the fire hydrant?
If so, it's OK since he is someone special. (Is your neighbor John Kerry? Oh, no, Kerry would have made them move the hydrant. Good luck, though. That tree really has a grip on it!)
I think my dog could have put those letters on straighter. Does this person have no pride in his work? He also forgot the 5 exclamation points at the end of the sentence!!!!!

They should factor in the energy wasted on the lavish homes these people live in as well. I would imagine most are the size of a small shopping mall, and some celebs own several.
Wasn't it Streisand who, several years back, was blathering about legislation to protect the world's forests, at the exact same time she was having exotic lumber imported from all over the world to build her own castle?
These people are so far removed from reality that there's no hope of them being normal, or even being able to see the hypocrisy in what they do. Clooney's rep's response perfectly sums up how they feel about the rest of us: "We clearly can't understand Clooney's NEED to fly private."
How very very sickening these people are.

I know folks who work with Fixed Base Operators (private air terminals) at Port Columbus. Private jet is the standard mode of travel for most of the "green" big mouths. Whether they be politics or entertainment.
And woe be unto the peon employee who does not ensure that these pampered VIPs every whim is met.

Hybrid cars are all the rage in Hollywood. Celebrities drive them like they're a badge of honor. You save a few gallons of gas, you save the planet. Right? Well, not when you hop on a private jet and burn enough fuel to propel NASCAR through 2050.
Of course, the stars need to go here and there. The location shoots, the fabulous vacations, etc. But that's why God created United Airlines. G-IV's, on the other hand, were created in the image of precious celebs.

Seems like prices are higher where the money is. Notice New York being surrounded by green. That has got to be taxes! Same on the West coast I bet. |
